Have a look at this thread and it will give you some idea how big a job this is.
In ^this case it made sense because it was replacing an M52 and the guy had the in house skills to DIY.

For the E92 M3 it makes no sense to me at all...... S65 all the way.
Good read.. thanks for sharing!

Wise words from this gentleman.

Sometimes you can end up in a money pit when you have the "2jzGTE" in a sentence. And you would be surprised what it takes to make it fast with some low end power.

Some people just want to be different. You can build an M52 or S52 to make 1000 rwhp. If you insist on dual vanos and an 8000 rpm limiter, you can build an S54 to make 1000 rwhp. I'd consider an LSx swap with or without forced induction but not a 2JZ swap.

[QUOTE=Maxe93;22314120]I?ve been sitting on my e92 chassis for some months now . No local engines for sale , exchange rate is killer and adding duty on top is out of the question.

A good friend suggested dropping a 2jz with tranny.

What are everyone?s thought ?

I?m aware we lose the amazing exhaust.

Also completely make it unsaleable in the future .

This is one of Two m3 I currently own . I was thinking a fun track build. I can get a motor and tranny for 11k canadian that will out perform the s65 in every way .
Its a rolling chassis? fully complete or stripped? how much you asking?

It?s a white e92 carbon roof , 6mt full car not stripped . Cracked block from previous owner . I want considering selling it although I?ve have some decent offers, I don?t need the money and I always have an appetite for projects .
