Since I have been reading on the other site, that doesnt answer the question of where the dyno's are, before and after to show the BPM level of tuning that was applied to the original ESS tune- whcih is a deviation from your original comments earlier here

2. I don't know what the time frame was. I had the BPM tune well before I started working with Mike. And to address the real question that you are implying by asking this in the first place, Mike has a firm policy on not attempting to read another vendor's tune. To do so would take some effort. It's not as easy as pulling the file from a car and looking at it. Mike has never needed to do so and to my knowledge has never done so before.

So your saying you cant tell us or dont have a receipt for the tune you purchased at full price from Benvo, and when your first paycheck from BPM came in?

Its obvious Evolve has email traffic from benvo asking to read files, your attempt to continually shy away or misdirect from that is petty.

BOLD Please answer the questions that you just said you would answer. You are responding, but not answering, there is a difference
Yeah dude, I'm sure he'll get right on sending you his pay stubs and receipts for purchases. Who the hell do you think you are, the M3Post IRS? LMFAO.

Go ahead, bloody the water. I'm out and don't care to watch you. I have a strong stomach, but this is wrong, and folk caught up in it obviously can't see this from being too close to it.

Not sure what concrete data would appease people anyway. A dyno doesn't prove anything beyond power and air/fuel ratio for the most part. It doesn't prove that Mike made the tune himself which is what is really in question here. There are no sets of facts that will please everyone.

still at it i see. i agree with tech the things being asked for dont prove what we are looking for. that would require disclosing of emails between ess, mike and evolve. That still may not paint the picture.

I'm sure your business will considerably suffer because of this. As a business partner, you might want to consider what legal remedies are at your disposal to protect what may be left of it. You might want to immediately dissolve your partnership to limit the collateral damage of the inevitable fall out.

A long-term client of Mike's contacted him in regards to tuning a supercharger system he purchased. What's the issue with that?

When someone purchases a supercharger, they don't agree to only utilize the manufacturer's software. All they did was agree to buy the supercharger hardware, that's it!

We all have personal preferences, and the OP's preference is clearly BPM Sport. So please stop slandering Mike and his company with false information and ridiculous accusations.

Thanks,

Is this test still needed if you're gonna steal a proven and tested tune from another company?

Jump ship because some he said she said talk? Your acting like Sal is the Lord himself! He along with every other guy tied in one form or another to ESS has reason to slander another competitor. This crappy court of public opinion that's going on here is straight BS. Either PROVE SOMETHING or move on. I can only image how fast this thread would have been locked had it been everyone mug slinging ESS with zero evidence.

Most you guys sound like straight women in here.

Here is what we have as facts up to this point as to the supercharger file we were sent and its source.

The file we were sent was our file and was read out from our customers car. This file was encoded with the customers VIN so it was very easy for us to track down the original source.

The file that was stolen was read from the actual car as factory EWS info was encoded in the file.

The original customer of this file gave a 3rd party tuner remote access to his car for euro MDM coding after his supercharger kit was installed.

The 3rd party tuner the customer gave remote access to is the same tuner who sent the file out over email to another party around this same time period.

Sorry, trying to get this straight. So your saying that a remote access during the MDM coding allowed the third party to read ESS files that were encoded? Why so easy to crack the files?

All this talk of legal proceedings against tuners who copy maps owned by other tuning companies.

Isn't it BMW who own the rights to the software and all tuners simply add their tweaks? Are these tuned files patented to anyone? I doubt it.

Afaik, most tuners buy base maps from Ruben and adjust them to suit. Lets face it, most tuners will love to take a peek at what another tuner has done to their re incarnation of the BMW file.

Would any tuner on here honestly say they have no interest in seeing a competitors file?

I'm sure that when they pickup on a certain aspect of the tune that they like, it will be added to their own file.

It's called evolution, and I'm pretty sure that over time we will all benefit from better tunes because of it.

Why people are knocking these companies is beyond me. They are all competing in an open market and hopefully it's us the end users who will benefit.

If you have computer engineering background and some basic tuning knowledge, unlock a locked file is a piece of cake.

Is it possible to read out the tuning info from the DME using only a coding cable?

Any tuner who is plugged into a vehicles OBD with the right interface / software can read out any info they want unless the ECU is tuner protected. This particular car was flashed before tuner protection was available.

I am amazed however how you are completely ignoring Sal's statements, and many, many comments from Evolve on the other forum. The reason Sal isn't posting here is out of respect to Mike since he can't comment here due to the ban. Maybe you decided that reading Sal's statement has no bearing on this issue. If you choose to look the other way, good for you.

But Roman posted here as well, and you choose to ignore that post entirely as well.

It's just weird to me, since you are the one who really got screwed in the end. You are the one who got lied to in the first place. It's like a tuner's version of the Stockholm Syndrome.
how do I not have proof of anything? and how am I screwed in the end? contrary to the belief, Mike took a while to tune it wasn't just 2-3 days it took weeks and he was always updating me with how he was approaching it, where he was in the tuning process, how he was calculating injector scaling and the relationship between boost and AFR as well as timing.

Ok thanks, I was just curious. I though it could not be done and thats why tuners and coders used 2 different cables depending on what is being performed.
