which pads to choose?
too many options and prices are all over the place
sensor wise, is there any reason to go with the BMW part at more than double the price?
The next brake pad swap I do I’ll be going with Akebono Eurocermics. My primary goal is to cut down the brake dust the oem Textar pads produce. I’ve run the OE textar pads the entire time I’ve owned the car but want to try something different.
When I autocross I may switch to a more aggressive pad if warranted but for cruising and spirited driving on the street the Akebono’s should suffice from what I’ve read on here.
I never buy the BMW branded part when an oe manufacturer part is available. The BMW parts are generally the same as the oe manufacturer just with an inflated price.
