When I autocross I may switch to a more aggressive pad if warranted but for cruising and spirited driving on the street the Akebono’s should suffice from what I’ve read on here.

My personal favorite for aggressive street driving = Performance Friction Z-Rated. They're available from O'Reillys Autoparts and reasonably priced. The E9X M3 platform uses the .10 version of the Z-Rated compound collection. See links and attachments.

They come with Federo pads but I am thinking of switching to Hawk Pads 5.0 since I don't track the car.Dinan camber plates went on yesterday. Knocked out half of the Slicer F8X hub conversion today. Rear will be much more involved but I’m waiting for rotors and pads anyway so that will be next weeks project. Also have a matching rear brembo kit to throw on at the same time so looking forward to seeing it all come together.
