Austin Meet?
It's been a while since we had a meet in Austin. The weather has been nice as of late and think it would be great to schedule a meet sometime and possible drive. I'm hoping to get better turn out then last time (weather was bad).
Let the suggestions begin... |

I've always got a few drives saved depending on where we want to start and how much time people have. One can start in North or Central Austin and goes north up into wide-open back roads in Bertram, Liberty Hill, Lago Vista, etc -- up to 100 miles or so depending on how you do it. Another starts in South Austin and heads out to Johnson City (and on to Fredericksburg if you want to press on) -- up to 80 miles. And I also found a way to start from South Austin and take 3 hours to get to San Antonio by staying on 133 miles of nonstop fun twisty roads.
That first drive passes through Lago Vista, which has a restaurant called Bam's Roadhouse Grill -- awesome burgers (EDIT: Looks like they're closed!! ). Plus the drive itself is certainly doable on a long morning and is the easiest to cut down if needed because it's the only one that's actually a circuit.

What date were you folks thinking? The sooner the better, before it gets too hot to ride with the windows all the way down. This Sunday?!

Weeeeeeeeellllllllllllllllllllll....I have a crapload of stuff waiting for time to install (x-pipe, rear exhaust, bushings, etc), buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuttttttttttt even though I won't have it installed for our meetup, I'm sure the car'll be fine.
I wouldn't be too concerned. It'll actually be in the late 70s/early 80s Sunday, and then the temp drops quite a bit next week. |

Does anyone have a GoPro they could bring along as well, I've been wanting to get some clips of the exhaust?

Thanks to 8k3 for the invite and for putting this together. Too bad, but this weekend is out for me. It's my wife's b-day and we have some fun stuff already planned. I hope y'all have a blast, and I'll keep my eyes open for the next one.

I am indeed familiar with the area. Wouldn't mind getting familiar with that supercharger though....

Right by the start of the 1431 ride is the lime creek route. It's a really fun gorgeous route (hopefully link works).

I will be there as well
I am going to have to take it a little easy on the drive I still have to replace my rear sub-frame bushing
