WTF? Discount Tire wouldn't rotate RS3's..
Took my set of square 275/35 R18's to Discount Tire to dismount and flip the tire's as the outside is eaten up a bit by track but inside's still good. Wheels were on the car. They refused to do it as per them the RS3's are not rated "safe enough" or "weight rated" enough, or something for the M3.

Technically RS3's have a load index lower than OEM tires -- at least I think that's the sticking point. Discount Tires and other places won't sell or work on tires that deviate from OEM specs in certain metrics for liability reasons. I think Tire Rack now won't even sell you such tires if you indicate the car they're going on, so you have to buy them for an unspecified vehicle.
As was said above, bring them the wheels off the car or find another shop. And thank the excessively litigious people of this great nation and their obliging lawyers for your extra hassle. They're also likely the reason we can't close the windows with the fob or get Euro MDM by default. ![]()

So far, so good at my Discount. The only thing they've pushed back on is making sure my tire choice was within an "approved" width range for the wheels in use. Stud conversion and non-OEM tire load ranges haven't been an issue. I'll try not to act surprised though, if/when they do.
