2008 E92 M3 Vanos problem HELP!

seriously run a vanos sweep test, and if the min/Max values are incorrect, you have a bad vanos unit, or a bad actuator. since you swapped the actuator already, my guess is a bad vanos unit.

Hate to spend $1500 on a unit and not sure if that's it. Car has 20k miles.

Then sell the car if you don't want to fix it. Pretty simple solution.

on a serious note, if you don't feel comfortable with your diagnose it, pay a professional to do it and don't complain when he gives you the bill.

Well I seen a lot of ppl here but a vanos unit in a that didn't fix the problem so it's not about paying it's about throwing money away. I don't have money to throw away. On a serious note.

Then pay for the diag. I don't see what your issue is.

paying for professional diag isn't throwing money away. It saves you money by pin pointing the problem, and the fixing it right.

Asking for random people to diag your car over the internet and then trusting that diag is throwing your money away. It doesn't matter if you like it or not, that's the truth of the matter.

I did get it diag by the dealer my friend. U ever heard of the dealer dig and that's not the issue and u keep throwing parts into it. Well I'm not here just asking and don't want to spend money. I did and lots of it.

Then you need to find a different dealer or shop to do proper diagnostics and repairs. It's not our fault you get ripped off by your dealer.
