(AHEM.. BigLare !) Also anybody interested in just stopping by to see... feel free. Will have more details in the next week or two. - esquire

I love the contrast between the Piano Black trim and the rest of the interior! Well done.

european delivery is a blast. but don't do it because you think it will save you a lot of money on the car. truth is - it probably won't. i suppose the more expensive the car, the more "worth it" it becomes. but expenses like flight, hotel, food, and incidentals pile on quicker than you think. in addition to the time it takes to get the car back to the states... it might be a wash as far as "worth it" factor goes. But if you're someone who truly loves BMW - i definitely recommend it.

thanks jimmy thanks mk. i like it too. especially now that i see it installed. i'm super pleased with it. one of my favorite modifications to date. afterall, i see the interior everyday thanks man. Dakar is a very love it or hate it color. I've seen threads where people bash the color relentlessly. haha. But that's okay though, because a lot of people also love this color - myself amongst them. Even with music I've always liked artists with a very defined/stylized signature sound - music that people are either absolutely fanatical about or completely despise. I guess my taste in cars is the same. I do love this color though. I'm so glad I got it. Quote:

Project Update

To be installed:
Considering:
Can anyone who's running ECU software/coding comment on their experience? Does this void your warranty? Is it detectable on any level by BMW? Are the performance gains noticeable on a car with exhaust? Thanks in advance for the feedback guys - esquire

I like it!
Any plans on lowering it on springs before getting your coilovers?

I'm not big on the black wheels, but what a nice car!! I wish I could talk myself into a dakar sedan. I'm just afraid it would be too taxi-like. There are some photos of dakar that just look too bright, but I know dakar in person is an awesome color. Congrats!!

this really is a great thread and a nice progression of modifications.
it seems like people are very pleased with the ESS Tuning Akrapovic NA Tune. its noted that it rids of the dip in power in the early RPMs and has solid gains throughout the powerband. i can't imagine it to be really that readily detected by the dealer, but if they do update your DME it will be wiped out. i think if that occurs, ESS allows one free reflash. where are you getting your 'M Stitched DCT boot'? i was going to ask if you plan on getting some new suspension mods, but i see you are waiting for the good stuff...OHLINS!!! great taste! keep up the great build!
