E90 Jet Black ZCP
Thanks to Ryan Amico and Golfrr for the great deal, and smooth transaction. Did the Performance center delivery, was amazing and highly recommended (Donnie is the man, the hot lap in the M5 is unforgettable) . I went with ZCP, ZP2, ZVC, 6MT Jet black/black novio, Carbon trim, E90.
Just a few comments: - glad I went Jet Black over Jerez Black (Swirls, swirls, I've heard the legends, I don't give a shit, at least my car isn't purple in sunlight, flame away Jerez boys, I'm kinda asking for it ) - glad I went E90 over E92 (kid on the way, 4 doors much more convenient, looks more aggressive) - glad I went 6MT over DCT (not that I ever considered DCT, but drove DCT at the performance center, it was great, but I got bored of it in the 2 hours I drove it) - glad I went with Navigation/Idrive (It's pretty freckin amazing how many details of the car you can control and the big screen makes it so much easier to navigate through all the options, plus the navi is pretty sick) - glad I got ZCP, love the rims and EDC (sorry Sameh, I'm sure you will flame me later for singling out the ZCP ) Sorry guys, just taking a few friendly jabs at those who chose different options, all in good fun, but we are all related in the Brotherhood of E9x M3 owners, I just like some of you more than others ) Only mods planned are black markers and some tints. I love this car, its more than I expected. Just a few pics, enjoy! |

E90s don't have a carbon roof option.

Gorgeous car, you are a success. Great options. 6MT is the ONLY way to go! However, I disagree that the Sedan looks more aggressive. The coupe absolutely looks more aggressive.

Obviously if you picked it up at your local dealer the plates would be on and it would be registered and ready to go... so what is the registration process with Performance Center Delivery? Do you just have a temp plate, and then register it yourself when you get home? If so, do you wait to pay sales tax until you take the car to DMV and register?

Great to know, thanks. And last question, you obviously had to pay for the car and do ALL paperwork at your dealer "back home" before you went to SC to get the car, correct?

Thanx guys, Car was paid for and papers signed 2 weeks prior to pick up. I got temp plates from the performance center, although you should be able to get them before you get there. Ryan or whoever is your CA will handle all the details and paperwork prior to your arrival at the performance center, you just have to send them very general information 3 weeks prior to delivery date, ie how many guests, 2 queens or King size bed, flight info etc

Just tucked her in for the night, finally back home. Tried my best to vary the rpms on the long road trip, but the trip was broken up enough I think the engine got broken in adequately. Trip home was in a span of 4 days, Friday - Monday. South Carolina (performance center) to Atlanta, Atlanta to Athens, Athens back to Atlanta, Atlanta to Orlando, Orlando to Miami. Lots of city driving stop and go in between, with some highway cruising. It was difficult keeping her under 100mph, you just glide through traffic and its so smooth, even at high speeds, you don't feel it. One of the BMW instructors set my warning signal to come on at 100mph, and I didn't turn it off cause I thought it was a good idea, and it did ding a few times, reminding me to slow her down. All in all, I have driven from Atlanta to Miami many times (went to school at UGA), and the drive was never faster or more enjoyable than driving the M3 home. You just don't feel the time, usually the long road trips on highways just drag on. Anyways, I was thrilled to see when I pulled her into the garage, she has 1170 miles on her, so.....!!!!
