Here is a great Video from one of the BMW world leading shop in the UK. That jet Pump really gets worn compared to the new one. At 7:00 mins you see the difference

Another thing worth looking at on the DCT are the transmission mounts, one of mine was sheared completely in half and the other was barely hanging on, more than 3/4 torn trough. This was with 57.5k miles on the clock back in March of 2022. My car is a 2010 and I'd been running the Bimmerworld stiffer engine mounts for maybe 10k at that point. Replaced with RevShift poly mounts, the lighter durometer, NVH isn't too bad, you can tell they are there and I quite like it. 5k miles since install, not a daily driver, a hand full of track events, all has been well. This thread makes me want to pull the sucking jet, especially after that video.

Don’t be surprised. Soft rubber mounts somewhat near hot pipes and warm transmission case, they probably crack at 35k and perish by 70.

This was my DCT jet pump at 88,000 miles. I’m Chasing a ramdon hard engagement on first gear. I’m about to take it to a shop to Relearn clutch adaptations.

Dang...wonder if the shop checked this when the box was down for sensor replacement recently...

I'm currently chasing hard engagement in first gear and reverse too after sitting in traffic. Already did adaptations reset, jet pump replacement and service. Does anyone know what could be the issue? Car is 2010 E92 M3 with 83k Miles. Have GTS tune. This started happening after fixing the DCT leak from the filter and doing service.

I can't see that causing hard engagement problems, thumping or clonking on drive take up or throttling off, yea sure, but not gear engagement.

The clutches in a DCT box are wet, right? Have they put in the right oil?

Same, I've change many with 100k miles and they don.t look bad, but due to age and how cheap replacements are, it's a good to change "while in there" for other jobs. Honestly haven't seen any that torn up yet even on cars that are tracked, but I believe it.

Not in my experience from the ones I've change, but they are cheap and age makes them due for replacement even if they "look" fine, or they are upgraded with other mounts in the car.

Did you do the clutch take up with ista? Sounds like clutch take up or maybe the oil pump bolts are backing out and leaking there?
