Definitely not! G2 sells this thing where you put the paint in a lil jar and screw in a lil can of compressed air and spray the paint on. I think it’s like $10 and def worth it

All my lights starting going off and then the car died on me the other day. Turns out the Alternator crapped out.... Easy DIY, only took about 2 hours in and out. FYI Valeo makes the OEM BMW alternator so if you want to save about $500 on a part, just buy a Valeo one direct sans the BMW sticker.

This is what I'd do. Even if the G2 went on smoothly, not sure I'd want my hats and fasteners painted.

I will most likely go this route… it's my second car so downtime is not so much concern vs amount of time/effort. Should have left them as is.

Well, I finally got off my butt and installed the airlift 3p suspensions and management system. I had system since February 2022.

My advice for anyone looking into getting a used airlift system. Ensure they have every piece, make sure they have or buy yourself a water trap system in order to not have water damage in the manifold management since the motherboard is inside there. If you don't have one like I did, it'll be a costly expense of $1k with shipping charges.

If I were the original owner of airlift suspensions then they would have charged me $250 for a deposit and as soon as you send them back the defective manifold management, you would be reimbursed the $250.

But after many adjustments in the rears for the height and manually fixing the toe alignment. I got the exact air-out look I want.

Here is my ride height preset and my air-out preset.

My buddy and I each detailed our E92s and took them along to a local BMW Club meet. My Interlogos Blue with hybrid CarboProject plenum and Eventuri elbow; and his Alpine White with full Eventuri intake.

Stumbled upon a like-new ESS X-Pipe with HFCs. So eager to get the car out and hear it paired with the Corsa mufflers! Initial start-up blew me away with the HFCs eliminating essentially all of the catless smell associated with my former Dinan X-Pipe.

Gorgeous. Love the stance and the meaty tire fitment. I'm guessing you're running a 295/35R18 on an 11 inch wide wheel with about a 30mm offset in the rear. And maybe a 265/35R18 on a 10 inch wide front? Great photo with the clouds and camera ground placement. Thanks.

Gave myself a flat tire pulling it in between the houses only to have Ian skirt us, still windy AF.

Hopefully I can repair it quick, tires only have about 7k on them.

Too kind and I do appreciate it. The wheel specs are 18 x 9.5 ET23 (with PSS 265/35X18) and 18 x 10.5 ET25 (with PSS 285/35X18). Pretty standard BBS RI-A fare, so perhaps my camera angles give the impression of a wider fitment. That said, I’ve been very tempted to move to 275/35 & 295/35 front/rear on the next change, theoretically giving me the closest to the stock rolling distance.

Made a power steering over flow / catch can set up for track days. Should get the job done all for the whopping cost of about $4. I'll put it to the test on Watkins Glenn next month!

Make sure the overflow catch tank has a hole for venting or else you're gonna end up making your power steering pump whine after hard use. Speaking from experience here. I just poked a hole in the lid of the catch tank and it doesn't leak out.

Dream exhaust setup achieved! Although less hollow sounding (and louder), the tone actually reminds me a lot of the MPE which I've always been a fan of.

Joined the Oregon chapter BMW CCA for a 140 mile fall drive through the foothills of the Columbia River Gorge. The Harrop e90 performed well in a line of an e36 M3, an interloper Cobra gt350, an M Z3, and a long line of e46 M3s.
