Yeah I understand that doesn't change. I'm concerned about tire deflection but it seems the consensus is there is plenty of room....

Out of curiosity, what is the main advantage of doing coil over on the rear compares to divorced setup?

I read all the concerns about the rear coil over and lots of wheel force comparisons. But I don't remember some forum expert actually explain the benefits for going that route.

Thanks in advance and if already covered, just provide a link rather re-type

As others said, there is plenty of room between the wheel and the suspension.
And don't worry about the tire deflection.
Deflection or deformation of the tire happens at the point of contact with the road not between the tire and suspension components.

i've searched myself without results i could easily explain to anyone other than, "i want it."
part of me wants to believe the results aren't entirely suspension related. i'd like to think you could use a lower control arm like whats sold by motorsport24 and build a diffuser that more closely isolates the turbulence of the rear wheel well. i'd also like to think a smaller lower control arm (no coil bucket) would be less weight, but i don't know.

Well besides the obvious limit to spring rate, one thing disadvantageous about the divorced setup is the mismatched angle between the mounting surfaces of each end of the spring, which varies throughout travel and also causes more pronounced issue with high rates.

I don't think so, there seemed to be sufficient space and I didn't really see any evidence of it rubbing
I assume you were running a spacer up front? If so what size? I'm running a similar setup with MCS 4-ways and a 6 inch spring up front with no helper. Just trying to figure out what assortment of spacers I will need up front.... I am thinking of 5mm and 10mm? This is with a 18x10.5 et22 wheel. Looking at both 275/35/18s up front and 295/30/18s.
I actually wasn't running a spacer with the apexs. I'm thinking of changing the order to et22 instead of 25, but either way I feel like somewhere between 5 and 10 will be needed. I used to run a 12mm spacer with the apexs before I swapped out the springs, so I know there's enough space outward without worrying about rubbing

Edit: changed to +20
You may need to pull the rear fenders with et20 (if you haven't already)
I haven't had the need to yet but I'm not opposed. I forget what my rear camber is but there was enough room back there when I had a 12mm spacer on the 18x10+25 running 275 Re71r. I guess we'll just have to wait and see once the wheels come in

While the spring angle on divorced setup is technically correct, it would be possible that the difference can not be exploited by most drivers.

At times I wonder about that gap.

You will have zero issues With 275's. I thought you had gone to 295 and 305 square. That's where the rear fit will become challenging

One thing I've run into is rubbing due to the tire diameter change, not width.

I have previously run two different setups with 265/35/18 and 295/30/18. One 10.5/11 +15/24 and the other 10/10.5 +13/22 and never had any rubbing.

I'm now on square 18x10 with 275/35/18s +15/13. I can tell it's not hitting the actual fender but seems like the inner liners are getting some rubbing that wasn't happening before. I'm sure this will self clearance in time but it's a little annoying. I'm most surprised about the rubbing up front because it's barely a change from my last setup, the rear makes a little more sense though.

I rub the rear part of my front fender liners with my current 275/35-18 NT01s because of the overall height. I eventually rubbed through and even hit the factory pinch weld some (now notched and folded flat to gain room)
I should gain some clearance with my new 295/30-18 Toyo RRs because of how much shorter they are.

Love that build but still can't believe an ST60 kit got the nod given the $ spent on everything else!

Pad availability, maybe. The ST60 uses a Porsche 911 pad which is available in pretty much every compound you can imagine, and is rarely out of stock.

ST40 also uses a 911 pad IIRC.

Think there is some kind of sponsorship/affiliation there.

True, didn't think about that.

It's not like the basic ST60 kit is a bad BBK, just not quite as fancy as a few of the more expensive options.

How many of ya'll have gone with the core4 motorsports hubs at least for the front? I am doing all my wheel bearings now and need a set for the front so I figured it would be a good time to do them.

I'll likely do MSI 12mm thread in for the rear as they are much harder to replace cleanly (my current hub is seized to the axle with no sign of letting go).

Any feedback on (good or bad) for the core4 fronts?

I've had the four hubs with 12mm press ins since late 2019. They're excellent. Wouldn't worry about the replaceability of the rear studs. You can do it without removing the hub but it's more difficult than thread-ins.

I have core4 14mm press-in front and rear. No studs have broken (and I don't expect they will) so I'm a happy customer.

I had one rear axle seized to the hub. I ended up buying a new axle and wheel carrier Then a shop managed to get them apart after so I have an extra wheel carrier.
