Would recommend a garage if you didn't already get one - it's stupid hot out there. The wind tunnel effect at the front of the garages is worth the money alone.

I usually just park in the sun and use my neighbor’s (buddy’s) canopy for shade. Or sneak into a garage that I didn’t pay for.

How much is a garage, $100?

Edit: it’s $100/space with six spots being rented out per garage or $500 for a full garage. You can comfortably fit six cars in the garage, so maybe we can try to find four people to split with? Idk

sometimes garages are worth it... at laguna seca, the garages get a north to south breeze when the front and back doors are open and it helps cool the car.

We had a lovely discussion about M mode and DSC on/off

After yesterday track day at NYST and numerous 1:38.x with best time 1:38.01, I realized that chasing laptime with DSC on has its limit. When the DSC light is on at every corner, it has done its job.

For the test of the season, I am going to slow down and build my speed back up with DSC off.

Now for data. Yesterday I did 1:38.01 and numerous 1:38.x in the first 3 x 20min sessions with DSC on.

In the afternoon, with DSC off, I did 1:40 number if times with corded front tires and last leg on the rears. I am not sure with DSC on it would have been any faster.

I have never driven the RR's so I can't offer a comparison myself. I do remember though when I first drove on Hoosiers I didn't see a lot of improvement over NT01's at the time. However, the first time I use c51's which are equivalentish I saw a 3 second improvement over my previous time without a lot of effort. My fastest lap at my home track was on 5HC C51's but I still primarily drive Hoosiers because of NASA contingency.

Were you able to break 1:00 at LRP? You were awfully close last time.

@kpewpew How's the balance with your JRZs? Did you add the aero (lip/wing) later or at the same time?
And what NT01 size & wheel offset do you run on your EC7s?

I don't know if the 265 would necessarily be faster, but it will last longer and probably be more consistent over the course of the session. One of the biggest reasons to run a larger tire is because it can dissipate heat better (same reasoning as using a larger brake rotor), but it is diminishing returns -- you are now adding rolling resistance, more unsprung weight, etc.

Is this one of those "low compressibility" fluids? If so, I have tried some of those and didn't feel any difference.

It is, but it's the real deal.

Try it once. Experimenting with 'pricey' brake fluid is a small cost relative to other consumable costs for track driving. If you don't like it, then you'll know for sure - bet you'll be surprised though.

Same price as srf but definitely better. I laughed at anyone saying it's better than srf but once I tried endless, my storage rack is full of endless bottles. But I never have to use them lol

I was talking to a couple of guys who were interested, then we realized that $500 would probably get you one of the smaller garages. The width of the garages varies, and I’ve noticed that people who are by themselves in a garage are usually in one of the narrower ones.
