Where do you live? Curious if there are any precautions to make here in NC. Mine is my Daily, but sometimes it does get down in the single digits. I do have a backup garaged 88 Landcruser for snow days, but I plan to drive the M most clear days even it's cold.
I live in Saskatoon Saskatchewan. Possibly the coldest place on the globe. Put it this way, we get colder than Minnesota.

I feel bad starting my POS Subaru at 40 below. Not sure if I could force myself to start an M3 at 40 below. So mine will slumber in my garage at a nice 17 degrees centigrade for the winter, covered under a nice warm blanket and attached to a nice battery tender so it is ready to go in about 6 months.

Cheers,
Wow, yes that is a different level of cold. I understand why it goes away for winter now!

Damn, how easy days we have during Winter in Stockholm, which I sometimes tend to think is cold. I'll stop that.

Here I hated being in Toronto winters... although a few times last year even my 328i took a little extra clicks to spark to life sitting in -30C windchill nights outside.

I had an extra glass of scotch yesterday, and tinkered with the 328 as I'm missing driving the M3 lol.

I used to have an 11 328xi for a winter car but I sold it to buy my wife a Volvo and now I drive her old Subaru in the winter... It is the ultimate transportation marshmallow - it is even white. At least it is a 5-Speed... But soooo gutless compared. And understeer... Wow.

It should snow here tonight so at least it will be more fun with AWD and studded winters

Cheers,
When I lived in Cold Lake I parked my E92 for one winter and drove around in a 98 Forester for 5-6 months. After I bought a house with a garage I had a E90 at the time and decided to buy winter tires for it. Took it out on the weekends if the roads were clear, even on a sunny -30 day. Otherwise it sat in the garage hooked up to the tender. Garage wasn’t heated but it wasn’t below freezing in there. I couldn’t stand driving a POS all winter.

I love the matte black look instead of gloss black. Would it look off if i had CF or gloss black gills that didn't match the hood vents and kidney grills?

Not really. Its one of those things no one really pays attention too.

Gloss black grills are a factory M Performance part, they match the the Shadow Line window trim. Matte black looks like they were spray canned to me (cheap). The BMW gloss black are actually matte around the slats.

The factory shadow line are not a true gloss black. They are gloss black over chrome, they look cleaner and more high end than the gloss black plastic aftermarket trim.

Today I installed a Braille B3121 battery in my M3. Installation was pretty straightforward; however, I'm having an issue with the voltage. Using the iCarly application I set it as 40AH AGM. My understanding it's 36, but that's the closest option there. I set it, but couldn't register it. No big deal initially, I took it out on a test run with no problems. Then I let it sit for an hour or so, cranked it only to get the "Increased Battery Discharge" error. So I pulled the iCarly app out again tried to verify that it;s showing up as 40AH AGM, then I checked the voltage read out and it was 14.5 volts, which is fine. Does anyone have any idea on getting rid of this increased battery discharge?

Received this and have the Torque app. Have been trying to search on here and online for any way to download gauge clusters or diagnostic setups custom to the E9x M3.. unfortunately, can't find anything posted. Would love to be able to import some custom dashboards created by those on here who are way smarter than myself in terms of this car, but can't find anything.

Carly is pretty useless sometimes, find a proper coder with a laptop and software and you should be able to get it registered properly.
