Thanks for the video post.

The M3 was fastest by even more than the video showed. The M3 had to pass all 3 cars. The Z passed the Honda before the first turn and had a wide open track the entire 5 laps. Plus the M3 driver kept drifting through the corners, not a fast way to go. I could outdrive that M3 driver. I'm glad the M won.

There is a fine line between drifting and utilizing a little oversteer. My opinion was that the driver was really holding some extra speed to get around the outside of a few of the corners while passing and utilized (more like forced into) some oversteer to compensate, I could be wrong though...awesome video

Jellis; I have about 15 driver school days which doesn't make me an expert, but I have ridden with and watched a lot of the instructors at the drivers schools and none of them ever slide the back end (noticeably) going around corners. Some of them are racers and all of them have many, many, many track days. None of them drift out of corners in order to be the fastest.

I could be wrong, but I've never seen drivers that know what they're doing drive like the M3 driver in the video. So I think the M3 would have won by an even larger margin if it'd been drive by a more skilled driver.

It was still a fun video to watch.

This video is awesome! If you watch from the ISF....the M just pulls away coming out of the corners..

Also, this is a great example of heel-toe shifting...these guys are real pros

From what i've seen of that car on other sites everyone claims it to be the Japanese only model 380z RS which claims a supposed 350hp, but apparently makes 397 but others say the car is the 350z Nismo edition which still makes a great deal more hp.

Just noticed from the video it's apparently the Nismo edition. Says it at 0:35 in video. How much HP is the Nismo and is it heavily modified for racing? It's got to take a lot for a 350Z to almost match up to an M3.

It's great!

I stumbled upon this in YouTube and it's a blast - love the Japanese Sumo umpire 'stand-off' thing also. Wish my Japanese was as good as 20+ years ago....

Am I alone in thinking there's a niche in the US for a real drivers' show - 'Motorweek" does not cut it, nor do the offerings on SPEED: -vs' Top Gear, 5th Gear etc.
