Racing Dynamics 530bhp RS46 Competizione "Club Sport" (Servizio Clienti Sportivo)

After several months of owning and running my RS46 M3 Club Sport over a number of challenging roads, tracks and so on, I thought I might just update everyone that may be interested in what my thoughts are. And well, without boring anyone to death, I can truly say that I am impressed with the all around performance of the vehicle, turn in is much, much sharper, steering feel is improved and for sure, the car pulls much stronger than it did before. I have so much confidence in the car I always really throw it around many times with the ECU completely off and boy is this an exciting car!!!!! For instance, take off with ECU off, full-throttle is a crazy snake that smokes those 305 Perelli Corsas!!! Wow!! I have a number of other true sports cars to compare it to and most of these unbelievably feel "bland" after driving the RS46 M3 Club Sport. I am a satisfied customer and would do this all over again!! I do most certainly recommend this car. Please find some updated pics at the end of the older pics below.

Old Post:
OK for those of us that enjoy tracking our M3 and want to make them something really, really special, Racing Dynamics/RDSport, upon my request, developed a very specialized program called "Servizio Clienti Sportivo" (Racing Client Service is the literal translation). The goal was to create as much of a track performer as possible from the stock M3 by reducing weight and increasing power with an NA engine (a la GT3 approach so to speak) yet retaining some of the daily amenities. Some of the pictures below are work in progress and some others of the final product (work and development started in September of 2008). The final product reduced net weight by a tad over 200lbs (234lbs total with some 25lbs increase), increased body rigidity and increased power through the RS46 stroker to at least 530bhp and, well, made a hell of a track vehicle while retaining all BMW M amenities! http://www.racdyn.com/SCS/

Here the vid of the final product:
[u2b]<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/9CIEMv7VRkk&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/9CIEMv7VRkk&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>[/u2b]

Dyno run of the first RS46 M3 (not mine but same engine):

Sweet pics.

Is it really a 5.6L or 4.6L engine?

Sounds like a nice in depth make over. It does not appear to me that this system has 200 lb to save in it. Can you explain where it comes from? Many parts even add weight!

That's what I was wondering. Other than the wheels, everything else looks like an add one. I don't believe those seats are lighter and the back seats look like they're still in.

Your car looks pretty nice ! But I think that green RD sing has to go ... it doesn't flow with the rest of your car ... I personally think RDSport logos shouldn't be everywhere ... it a bit too much

Front seats are considerably lighter but not 100 lb each.

Needs ceramic brakes - they will probably save another 10lbs over the two piece rotors...
