Does this seem like a total loss to you guys?
My wife got Tboned while driving my car last night.
Luckily everyone is ok... the other party was under the influence. Does this seem like a total loss to you guys? I haven?t seen the car in person yet.. |

Wow that’s unfortunate. These cars prove their safety more and more every day!
I’m going to guess they’ll total it but you can always buy it back and have it fixed! Airbags sometimes are all it takes for an adjuster to call it a total loss. |

It will depend on the adjuster's flexibility and what you want. They could definitely total it if you want to hold them to replacing every component with any signs of damage at component MSRP. If you want them to avoid a salvage title then some adjusters are happy to estimate replacement parts at used value. I sell parts all the time to people for insurance repairs.

Is that the other driver's beverage on the trunk of your car in the third picture?
I agree that it could go either way and that you can probably lead the adjuster to the conclusion that you want. |

Lol... Come on guys, the hit is pretty minor... It barely crumpled any of the exterior sheet metal- it didn't get into anything structural. The seat isn't bent. It's just set forward in rear-entry position. The subframe won't be damaged, but the arms will need replacement.
It'll get fixed and back on the road. My last post was to reiterate the flexibility you have with the adjuster. |

i would say TL based on airbag situation.
you could take it to a shitty shop who could try and save it but a BMW certified collision centre will TL it.

Hopefully your wife will be 100% ok and the at-fault party is charged and convicted.
By the looks of it, I would guess that your car will unfortunately be written off. |
