M3 gets a stablemate (some M3 content)

Picked up a 2012 X5d over the weekend...here it is with M3. We picked it up in San Diego and drove it home (got 26 mpgs on the trip!)

The M3 still gets its spot in the garage however.

More info:

2012 X5d LCI
Alpine White
Cinnamon Brown
Bamboo trim
3rd Row Seat
Sports Package
20 inch wheels
Premium Package
Apps
Backup cameras
Aluminum running boards
Comfort Access
Premium audio
CPO
extended maintenance plan
I'm sure I'm missing some other minor options, but those are the big ones! Enjoy!

Those ZCPs look so nice, I'm jelli

Can't go wrong with an X5d. My parents bought a black '14 a few months ago and they love it (this coming from a history of Mercedes ownership).

embarrassingly good...it was a private sale.
Car was CPO'd in November 2013 just before the CPO rules change...so it's 100% transferrable to me with no additional paperwork or $$$ paid to BMWNA

You get the ocean in Richmond... just have to be closer to the ocean. But those style houses in the picture are uniquely Sunset.

Does the third row offer more hooker space than the m3? I have under floor storage for mine in the x5d.

well...the 3rd row does add 2 more seats, but reduced trunk capacity by about half. Note, 3rd row option automatically adds self-leveling suspension, and I also got the factory tint option, so people won't know how many people/weight is sitting over the rear axel.

Tint fronts so it matches. I have airbags also.

X5's are very fun to drive for SUV's (in all trims). Jealous of the 3rd row seats too.

Yeah... but your cars would be all beat and dented up from people parking up on your bumpers. Parking is terrible in Richmond.

yeah, it's a bit different driving experience with the diesel as it doesn't accelerate as quickly, but it's not slow either. I've driven a 335d before and that thing is quick, but the X5 is just so heavy. The steering is heavy too, not sure if this is unique to the D or just E70 X5s.

The 3rd row was my must have option. We often find situations with family and friends where we need that 6th or 7th person to all take 1 car. I tried the 3rd row , it's not horrible, but definitely designed for people who are shorter than 5 foot 10 inches. And this is with the 2nd row scooted up, and first rows also reducing a bit of leg room. It's good in a pinch, not a trip to Tahoe...

Congrats, we have a '10 for my wife and it's been awesome so far. I haven't driven a gasoline E70, but I think the torque of the diesel engine is a great match for a heavy car like the X5. Any plans for mods, like removing all the emissions junk?
