edit: now after reading through the entire thread, seems many people agree with me. Not making excuses for Mr. Impatient, but eventually you want to get around that dickhead in front of you - and that certainly appears to be Mr. Dashcam who was all too ready to film it.

yea.. and he was trying to get on a highway that gives him 5 lanes... he could have easily waited the whole extra minute. Years ago there really did use to be two lanes there but they put in the jersey barrier and a sidewalk for pedestrians and bicycles.

I work at the dealership that this guy's car is coming in for his body repairs.

Happened in downtown Albany, NY.

Dash cam driver "sped" up to 16mph but clearly went wide to defend position but who cares?

BMW driver cut off from right side which wasn't even a lane to begin with. Guy made illegal left turn and got what he deserved. Even if he got passed driver cleanly he would've still been stuck behind the school bus. What was he expecting to gain?

Given that what the BMW driver did wrong here,
You can't just stop at an intersection to let a car go while they are at stop sign. That does increase chance that you could cause traffic incident behind you when they don't expect you will stop out of nowhere. The driver probably thinks he is a "hero" to let a school bus go. There are some people who think doing this kind of thing is cool, but it is not actually. Unless it is an emergency vehicle, you can't let a car come out when they don't have right of way. And the driver seems to block the BMW at the end also shows this guy is probably out in the society all act cool etc.
Yes the BMW driver should have been patient. No excuse for him either, but just bothers me how that driver thinks he did all "cool" things.
And someone who said cars passing to the right is not nice.. all the slow cars tend to go occupy the left passing lanes all over the place on highways. So sometimes, the slow people should keep to the right so roads look more organized.
