I corded front rights by end of day two times. Happened after I dialed down some camber so am going to put my camber back to -3.8 again. will need to flip tires more often but better than killing them and having less turn in ability.

also carrying 140+ through the roval. probably a combination of all things combined.

That's some serious camber! What tires were you running and are there any that are more resilient at a track like this?

Don't think so. I had a lot more inner wear (there is a thread I posted) so I dialed it back but now the outsides get chewed. Shit I don't want to adjust camber per track but maybe that's what I have to do.

I did have more even wear at 2.8 but turn in debt a little worse. I'll go back to flipping and rotating more often.

With any tire I drive it until you actually are thru the carcass and can see cords showing thru. With nt01s the session that happens, you will have your fastest laps on them.

Interesting. That's a lot of camber. I've got an appt for new front tires and then a front camber adjustment as i'm currently on my street setting at -1.7 front which was really bad last time at ACS. Outer edges chewed up. Also I need to inflate the tires more. Going to start maybe 35 F and 32 R also because the roval scares me and I think stability and wear will improve with the higher pressure. Although the middle section of the tire may wear a little.

In the first session of the day I'm really chill but then I get faster each session. This is the complete opposite of everyone else in my SV ACS run group...they go balls out Session 1 on lap 1 after the initial out lap and everyone gets slower each lap and each session. I guess for most people this is a race not a DE learning event and then they find their tires and brakes degrade pretty quickly.

Just hope Z06 dipshit doesn't show up again.

The introductory sale triggered my Asian cultural weaknesses regarding sales so I was forced to pull the trigger. The DCT cooler being twice as big as the stock one gives me hope that it's going to solve the issue. Also replacing the transmission fluid with the Motul DCT fluid.

I don't understand why they do that, your tires are completely cold and you're going to wreck the tires doing that, or spin because you have no grip.

I'm at -2.5 and that seems to work well for me. Even with all the street driving I do - it will cord the inner edges of the tire though, long before you actually go to the wear bars. I did get decent life out of those MSS fronts though on the street despite this.

People spin out in front and right behind me all the time at ACS when I take my M3.

I think the transponders and bimmer challenge stuff turns the DE into a race. I don't get a transponder for insurance purposes but I do track lap data on my vBox.

You track with your 19" ZCPs and MPSS? Or do you have different wheels/tires for the track.

I used to keep my camber at -2.3 and it wore out my daily 19" MPSS tires in maybe 5,000 miles so I dialed it back down to -1.7 and I'll probably get 15-20,000 out of the fronts now.

Your fastest lap should be lap 2 and 3. Out lap then go for it. Car will get slower after that.

Maybe I'm doing it wrong. I haven't been to this track much so I haven't memorized it. So I have to relearn each time. And I want to make sure my tires have warmed up and everything feels good because there's a roval where you reach 150+mph and shit can get real pretty quick.

I've seen lots of cars including friends spin here. Seen a dude spin and hit a wall at triple digit speeds with no insurance. Car totaled.

Yes the car likely can be fastest on laps 2 and 3 if you are racing. But this is a DE event for me. It's a race for others I guess.

I've seen this a lot also, particular with SV. I think its the longer wait times in between sessions/less track time where people feel like they have to go balls out right away/all the time. They are antsy. More important to stay at your own pace and comfort level and not get caught up. Like you mentioned, there is a lot to lose at this track. Walls dont seem very soft.

BTW, I run the max camber my setup will allow which turns out to be -3.9 left and -4.0 right and I still wish I could add more!

I only track with the 19" ZCP/MPSS if it rains - otherwise I have my 18" Apex EC-7s with NT01 while I pile in the back seat and bring with me (drive down on 19", switch pads/tires at the track).

Used to run RE71R on the 18"s, would still be running it if they were cheaper than NT01, or if I needed the points for Bimmer Challenge. After reading Andrie's comparison, it's a no brainer to do NT01 for equivalent grip, especially if they're $300 cheaper ($800 sale).
