First M3! Some questions...
Hi Everyone,
New here, just picked up my first M3 (E93 2011) DCT, Jerez Black, Bamboo interior with woodgrain accents and I have a question or two. First, it came with aftermarket exhaust. Can you please help me identify what kind it is? It's a bit too loud for me, I'm looking to switch out for stock or something quieter, so if anyone wants to trade, lets do it! Second, is it possible to play music through bluetooth? I connected my phone for calls but cant seem to play music via bluetooth. Thanks! E |

Can't help with exhaust (a shot from under the car would probably help others though) but if your 2011 was produced earlier than 9/2010, which you can check on the door jamb plate, then no Bluetooth Audio. If that's the case, look into the Tune2Air WMA3000B, which will give you streaming and the ability to use steering wheel controls. Or if you already have the Apple 30-pin to USB+AUX Y-cable, get the WMA1000.

Don't know what the exhaust is but if you don't like it anyway what difference does it make? Look into maybe an Eisenmann sport or MPE or go back to stock, which can be a lil too "tame" for a sports car. Once it's removed potential buyers and yourself should be able to identify it. And def get the tune2air get it on amazon it's not too expensive and it makes life much easier

I would suggest you to check out the car from underneath. If its not to much work for you, just do a picture or two and load them up on here.
That way its much easier for us to indentify your current exhaust setup. Last edited by vsix; 04-17-2016 at 05:07 AM.. |

Okay, so I figured out who makes the exhaust and its Encore Innovation. Here are some pictures from underneath (best I could do). If anyone is interested in buying this, PM me. Thanks!

Wow, a titanium exhaust! That apparently retailed for $3699. Some for sale threads here for that exhaust have asked $1300-1600 it seems.

Not 100% but it looks like it might be an Encore Innovation titanium exhaust

It does sound sick, and its fun but for work and daily driving I need something that a little more tame. Ill post some videos later today though so you folks can hear what it sounds like.

I appreciate the kind words. The front lip thing came with the car, and though it looks cool its a pain in the ass and will probably be taken off soon. The back is stock aside from the pipes. I do not think that the hood was painted, the whole car seems to be uniform Jerez black (which looks sort of blue in some light).
I found out a little more about the exhaust system after climbing under the car with a flashlight... The section one is "Fabspeed Motorsport", the cats are HJS tuning, and the rest is the Encore Innovation Ti system. Not sure if any of that stands out, but that's what I saw. |

splitter looks like the revinora street lip. couple people on this forum claimed to be ripped off by them, so be cautious.

I'd suggest going back to stock one section 1 and 2 and keeping the axle back. That should quiet things down a lot and you might be satisfied at that point |
