Just got my Acm test pipes not sure if it's a good idea with mpe exhaust

Seems like the mpe sounds louder. The akra is deeper. Both sound amazing though.

An internal baffle worked itself loose on my MPE, causing a rattle on cold start. No cracking visible but thankfully it was replaced under warranty with the updated design.

first time i've read about this as a problem. thus far, i've only read about or seen the cracking muffler/canisters. good to hear it was covered! i don't think i would buy a 1st gen m performance exhaust unless my car was still under warranty; it would break my heart to have a $3k system fail in this manner.

I can vouch that the MPE is louder with Test Pipe, because a) that 2nd video is mine and b) I've had the full akrapovic before ditching and getting the TP + MPE setup which is one of the best IMO.

The Akra was very bassy (no drone at all) but it was quiet when you were going fast (high rpm). And it didn't sound like a V8 to me.

The TP+MPE on the other hand, quiet when you want it to be (relatively), but absolute screamer at higher RPM (and has a nice V8 tone to it)

I sold mine though, fear of it cracking and becoming worthless.

I ended up going with the test pipes and mpe ur absolutely right it sounds amazing. I am also scared the exhaust may crack. What exhaust did u go with?

Currently running Remus Race X-Pipe with the OEM muffler (none modded).
I'll have a think, maybe OEM mod, maybe Remus Race muffler or Eisenmann Race since its no longer a DD like it use to.
