VF540 and the ESS equivalent run around 4.5-5psi.

Congrats good stuff glad you decided to do it can't go wrong with a Active Autowerke SC kit

I am posting late because I just seen your post but it might help someone else on the fence. I have 2008 E92 M3 put a VF540 kit on at 92,000+ miles upgraded to VF620 at 106,000+ miles and change rod bearings just in time mine was on borrowed time. Up graded to the VF650 kit and I am currently at 134,000+ miles on my M3

plus daily driver, definitely not.
What about an 08 is too old? How is an 08 with 75k miles any different than any other model year E9x with 75k miles in terms of bearing wear or supercharger reliability?

I say go for it OP!

Saw your car at Active today. Congrats on the decision. Not sure if you saw my Silverstone E92 getting the same kit when you dropped yours off. Just got it back today. And of course, crazy rain and traffic so I drove home like a granny with my new SC.....

Lol, the orange manifold was TEMPORARY. They put it on to do the initial tuning while waiting for mine from the painter. Orange is definitely not my style.

Here it is finished, it's painted to match the stoptech brakes perfectly:

-Very well taken care of.
-oil changes every 7500 miles
-will change rod bearings at the same time.
-has been a daily driver and will continue to be so
-no major problems before
-have read the other posts on supercharging. very helpful but want some direct opinions.
-about 2 seconds away from pulling the trigger

If I recall, between 7 and 8. The car was dyno tuned and running as expected for the kit.

My car was at active for I think 3 or 4 weeks. The painter was the holdup since we did a custom painted manifold, and that was unfortunate. Outside of their control.

The DCT is slipping and so I can't run it. But I did get a couple pulls before it slipped and it's pretty absurd how fast the car is now. It'll be back at AA this week I think to sort out the DCT issue. It's something nobody has really seen and is probably software related (AA did not touch the DCT, so previous DCT software maybe).

You can't beat the Harrop SC for quality and OEM finish and with only 5.5 pounds boost and over 530 horse power at the rear wheels. More expensive than some others but worth it
