Yea, i'm now 200% interested in this since this is the same warranty and dealership I might get my car from.

Should be fine assuming the maintenance schedule was documented at BMW dealerships.

Maybe you should show your Blackstone report to your warranty company .
Than they know that you really care about your car..
So it was BF on Cylinder # 6 !
Do you have any pics of it ?
Damn , I really hope they will cover it for you .

A lower level warranty would be the opposite (inclusive), meaning it would only cover things that are explicitly stated in the contract and nothing more.

A lot of these guys are being awfully negative but your ducks seem to be in a row here. Even inclusive warranties cover major engine components like bearings, so given that you have all of the service records, I can't think of any reason they would deny the claim. Good thing you purchased the warranty!
My plan is a "premier plus" plan...

The only contractual line in my contract that worries me states this:

This contract does NOT provide coverage for any of the following:

Section D (Exclusions)

Components or parts, which have not failed or resulted in a verifiable breakdown, but are replaced based on the manufacturer's or the repair facilities recommendation.

Does this mean that only the one bearing that failed will be covered? WTF!

If the rod bearing failed during operation, the entire rotating assembly (crankshaft) is compromised. There are other types of collateral damage associated with the failure (including metal shavings, possible block or crank damage) which would require a complete rebuild of the engine. So you would not see a repair facility simply replace the defective bearing if it has failed to the point of killing the engine.

+ 1 Exactly ! One bearing can destroy the entire engine .

Exactly, and most of us gear heads here understand that; I just hope the warranty company understands this... The lead tech at SS BMW even stated that there are so many metal shavings in my engine that the entire engine must be replaced...

Hopefully they do replace the motor but they definitely wont replace the oil cooler and lines that are filled with shavings. This is exact scenario the statement in your contract is referring to that you mentioned above.

The last one I bought was from the Honda dealer on the date of purchase. They still denied the claim. Ask the company for the specific list of covered parts. I highly doubt rod bearings are on that list, as they are considered a quote: "wear and tear item". These companies all say the same thing. Do a tear down of the car, and see what specific component failed. If it's not on their list of covered components, or if they can prove any type of abuse, neglect, or negligence, even in the slightest, they will deny the entire claim, and you will be stuck with the tear down labor cost.

Seems like preventative maintenance may be money better spent than extended warranty in some cases.

In the "Covered Components" section, the first item it states is:

Engine and All internal lubricated parts

My thoughts exactly. Reminds me of that old colloquialism: "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure."

After reading => "Engine and All internal lubricated parts" That's really good news !
They really need to pay you a rebuilt S65 engine + all the labor costs !
But on the new (the rebuilt engine ) it's never a new engine... is warranty never possible again !

+1. Warranty is not worth the paper it's written on. They always try to find a way out.

We made out OK on my wife's 535xit that had CPO. I also bought my E90M3 CPO because I was scared at the time and did not know as much, but it never needed any warranty work and I did the bearings and all fluids myself as preventative maintenance.

If the warranty company honors the engine replacement, it will be a remanufactured engine from BMW's factory along with a 2 year warranty...
