1) 2010 E92
2) 51,000 miles 3) ~700 miles on track 4) No transmission issues - less than 10 launches 5) Leaky oil sensors + diff fluid + door actuator + dead headlight bulb issues for now 6) just got the GTS tune - too early to tell but seems like it reduces jerkyness in city traffic

And the motor still pulls like a freight train with NO aftermarket TUNE.

I will tune one day. Home renovations are preventing me from dropping a 1000+ dollars for an aftermarket tune right now. I was just giving a testimony to the reliablilty of a high mileage stock E9X Motor.

i know this is a DCT thread but wanted a bit more info on this statement.
what temps (~) were you with Castrol and what are the cooler temps now? I am am a recently new owner of a '10 E90M with 51k miles. Plan to change the trans fluid in the next week or so. No known issues. I also plan on using LiquiMoly (used it the last 10-15k miles on my E46M) |

Curious to see if anyone with a DCT has passed 150K on the original unit. Last edited by M3 Adjuster; 05-10-2017 at 07:09 PM.. |

1. 42k miles. 2. Yes, @ 42k miles. 3. No. 4.@ 42k miles: Lower pan was leaking along with upper hose. Replaced both, along with all filters (and DCT fluid as mentioned above). The DCT unit had to be removed from the car for this repair. |

"11 E93 M3 79k miles.
Found leaky DCT tranny pan recently. Not a huge leak, it looks like normal oil seepage in an old car but sure not acceptable in any senses. Going to do the DCT fluid change plus put on a new tranny pan. '11 E82 135i 60k miles. Same Dct unit as the M3. Dealer found mechatronic O-ring Leaking and tranny pan leaking @ 54k miles when I ask them to do dct fluid change. Dealer did the repairs under CPO. Mechatronic o-ring replaced, plastic tranny pan replaced, etc. Paid for new dct fluid. Both DCT units run strong at current mileage. Never have dct overheating issue or warning on both car. Leaky plastic tranny pan is unavoidable...... how consistent the bmw is![]() Be prepared to check it in every oil change after you pass 40k miles?!. Dealers or indy are welcome to help you look for the leaks on the DCT.
