6. No other problems or work performed.
7. I have a DCT transmission oil gauge that I monitor while tracking.

Your leak was likely the same as CBS is describing above. The oil pan gasket seems to seem on some cars, but it's a relatively inexpensive fix.

The transmission light could have been an issue with a position sensor inside the trans. Sometimes debris will interfere with sensor operation for a moment, sometimes an unexpected signal goes to the transmission computer. If the light hasn't returned since I would consider it a fluke.

Hahahaha. Priceless man. Thats exactly what I was thinking. I'm never getting rid of this car and I'm driving it all the time, it's my DD. I know a few guys who got some cool cars including some with M3's, nice cars nothing "rare" or crazy expensive, but they baby the hell out of them, keep the miles low and don't really "drive" them, at least the way they were meant to, buy even tho it's not my thing to do, I'm definitely glad there's car guys out there who keep these low mileage, pristine gems out there, for the next crop of car guys and collectors.

This is great to hear. I plan to buy an e90 in a few months and was leaning towards the DCT but was nervous due to SMGII reliability problems.

08 E93 DCT
Current mileage: 54000
Issues:
-DCT oil pan leak fixed @ 48000 miles
-Transmission Malfunction light came on and couldnt put the car into gears. Went to the shop to have it checked out. The trusted mechanic told me that he went through the BMW recommended procedure for checkup (hydraulic and electrical) and found nothing. The code suggested that it was a power supply error and could be a electrical glitch. Nothing was fixed and he had the light removed. Also he told me to replace the trans fluid as it was too dirty to put back in.

Hopefully no more issues...

Did they replace your whole transmission or was that the mechatronics modules and actuators only. I'm pretty sure those can be replaced without replacing the whole gearbox.

150,000 kilometers with no issues - then I had a chunk of ice split the pan. In a rental for close to a month now as the dealer fumbles with getting the parts from Germany. But, what the heck - I'll probably buy an F80 M3 with DCT. M3s are habit forming.
