My M3 isn't gutted into a track car. It's a daily driver and occasional track car. If I wanted to build a dedicated track-only car, then yes, there are plenty of cars i would have chosen instead. E90 M3 would not even be on my top 10 list.

Probably the same way the racing teams do it. I'm no welding expert, and I know aluminum isn't as easy to weld but I'm sure there is a way to do it. The Vette C6 and C7 racing cars use the same aluminum frame as the Z06 road car. Yet they manage to weld a roll cage in there somehow. Ferrari also does it too. The 458 has an aluminum frame, yet the racing version has roll cages too.

They don't weld to the aluminum frames. They are glued and riveted down. Done right it is very strong.

Just don't tell Petros that you're not a fan of the GT-R or she might start to feel butt hurt and tell you that some GT-R fan probably banged your wife
Hey just wanted to warn you.

He's actually a broke Butt Hurt GT-R/JDM fan. No Vette,
No GT-R and (Cough) certainly no M3. I think more like a Civic guy.
Though after reading some of his posts it's obvious he's a closet Porsche
and M3 fan. Careful though because if you disagree with her or tell her anything negative about the GT-R she will cry you a river and proceed to tell you that someone preferably a gtr fan must of fucked your wife while you were away. typical troll mentality.

As someone who tracks their car, you know what a difference rcomps make in lap times. The Z28 won by less than 3 tenths of a second at Barber Motorsports Park, yet somehow is 20 seconds slower at the ring. Its called marketing, and us Americans are good at it!

Actually been trying to keep out of all this drama! But since I know you, and we can have a logical conversation, figured id bring up the facts. That elcipsis guy, who probably doesn't even own an M3 much less a GT-R, is on the verge of banishment

I feel you there and in the end it doesn't matter what I or anyone else says it's your money, and your choice. I looked at both the Callaway, and Viper and none did for me much the way the GT-R did. And let me just say the only reason the Viper was a no was because of it being a stick, and I'm just way too used to paddle shifters. Other than that it's got some serious balls. I was still skeptical of the GT-R not gonna lie which is why I opted to lease it. And it's good I mean it does it's thing pretty well not a lie when they say "a good bang for the buck" lol. But I think after the lease is up I'm done with it. By then I'll be making more money so it's a GT3, Audi R8, Ferrari or Lambo. (pre-driven that is, lol) I'm really aiming for the R8 or Lambo because of the tuning packages from UGR. Decisions, Decisions. I know this might sound a bit odd but I want to hold on to the M3 for a long time, don't know why I'm so in love with this car, and my little brother loves it too especially after seeing Michael Jordan's son in the same car (Frozen Gray) so I figure if I ever do decide to part ways with it then I can give it to him, by that time he should just be starting college. And I baby my cars so it will surely be in tip top. Plus I got the Recaro's coming from Europe in May. So far I did the tints, carbon fiber interior, and alcantara steering wheel. The motor and exhaust will be done professionally and with a great deal of patience no matter how expensive or pain staking you can't do so called rush jobs on these cars unless you're a serious risk taker, and lol I sure ain't.

No r-comps here, 285/35/20 MPSS on the stock rims. Car came with the HKS Legamax exhaust and HKS midpipe. Not the growl of the V8, especially with an aftermarket exhaust, but still sounds pretty good.

Since the thread is pretty much destroyed as you said, ill post up this clip, with mic attached to the rear of the car!

The mic was attached to the bumper, so it sounds a bit louder than it really is. Either that or I lift in turn 5
