Anyone strip their interior???

Thinking of stripping my interior like I did on my e46 m3..strip it down, smooth it and paint it all....wanted to know what the sound deadening was like..alot of it..bad like the e46? Are the wires orginized into 2 ropes or all over the place etc... if someone has done this pics would be great...thank you in advance. ...

Sound deadening no worse than an E46. Basically a group of wires that run along the sides of the car front to rear, but there are definitely more of them. Wrap them in a nice conduit and it should clean up nice (but don't use the cheap split loom crap that everyone uses...that looks horrible).

Pics from my interior stripping and paint. I did eliminate about 50lbs of wiring and modules because it's a race car and there was plenty that I didn't need which cleans up the wiring a lot more.

It's only a car and not a $200+ "supercar".....and that's what we are gunning for when we start modding. To take down a supercar in our M3s.

Yean, that's why I'll wait like 3 to 5 more years to do this on my 2013 car.

Running full interior with lots of OEM options in my RS (it should have been a garage queen but the prior owner already popped the track cherry). I might pick up an 09+ E92 M3 in a year or two when used car prices are below $30k and then gut it and turn it into a full race car.

Still not sure why people build track cars out of an M3. For the same price you can still get a C6 Z06 and gut it, and that would be a much better platform for a track car to begin with.

Explain to me how you weld a steel roll cage into an aluminum chassis. I don't know how its done but it is expensive. So most guys start with a standard c6. Plus I mentioned the new c7 z06 to my wife........quote "I'm never going to ride in that"
