Gintani vs ESS ?

Feelings and which you think faster ? Has anyone raced against a gintani stage 2 ? Essvt2 650 kit ??? Curious

There don't seem to be many S/C people who also track, from what I've seen -- maybe because people who track their cars realize that there isn't a "lack of torque" problem at all if the car is driven properly. However, of the very few comments I HAVE seen from such people, they say that the supercharger ends up not making a difference on the track because the extra power down the straight is nullified by the fact that it's so much harder to put the power down correctly in the corners, which is unfortunate because frankly I have more fun throttling through turns than blasting down the straights. But again, that's just what I've read.

I would also imagine that for the cost of an S/C (even used) you could buy a lot of other mods that would make a much larger impact on track performance -- which again may be why there aren't many people doing both.

Would hate to see the rod bearings from an M3 that was S/C'd AND tracked though....

Most people I talk to say the SC is good for about 2 seconds on a 2.5 mile track.

That makes no sense to me based on the S65's linear power curve. I've got a few friends that track their SC M3 and I've been in the car with them and they have no problem throttling through the turns. I can see this argument a bit more if talking about a Vette with all it's torque...

Driven a couple sc m3 on the racetrack. No problem putting power down. One was a Gintani and one was an ESS. Both drove great

I have driven my car which is a Gintani Stage 2 at 7.5psi and I drove my buddies ESS VT2-650 car which also moved out.. but I wouldn't notice the difference in the 1psi until after 120-130... Both great kits! and definently transform the car into a monster.

Hardware is very similar. Tuning a bit different but proprietary so you aren't gonna get any info there.

Both are terrific and can't go wrong with either.

There's dynos and race vids all over the place but with their current product, power/delivery/reliablility is very similar.

So the only question you should ask is who is doing your install/support?

Thinking you may be right curious if cooling much better on gintani over ESS ? And tuning who better ? Your m3 should be as fast or faster than ur current Porsche no ?
