In light of recent developments, OP should change the title of this thread!

I didn't change my initial idea of mikes tune? And there is nothing wrong
With the tune? This thread has gone to hell I don't even bother reading it anymore. A simple thread about MY personal experience with a specific tune has caused everyone to simultaneously go in their period. This is ridiculous. You want facts? Here they are-mike tuned it, running great, gonna post a dyno soon. Until then...put a tampon in.

I used to speak like that when I was a student but I was just trying to memorize law terms for my exams. Keep the law garbage off the car forums.
When did I threaten someone? Show me once where I threatened to sue or said that BPM was going to sue? I was simply warning a poster to tread carefully. If anything, I want to avoid a situation where someone gets into trouble for a stupid post on the internet.

If you were a lawyer, you would know that the fact that this is a "car forum" does not give people license to make misrepresentations about companies. Arguably, it makes it worse. I can't, for example, come on here and say, "X company steals all their software from Y company," or "X company does not do any testing on its software" if it's not true. Just because it might happen frequently (though I haven't really seen it), doesn't make it okay.

correct, if it wasn't true it would be a hard case.. BUT.. that's if it was not true.. You should probably follow my advice, rather me follow yours of treading lightly and playing with fire and whatever other insinuating comments you threw out there

I think at this point Benvo should just lay low for a while, he is not doing himself any favors on the BB site. He has created multiple user name accounts and I saw some of them are already in timeout with negative rep points.
I have suspected from day one that I started using Evolve that Benvo was involved with them as in they were sharing info and such. There was a time that Benvo was overseas and I suspected it was with the evolve crew, could be wrong though. At some point I guess it went south, sucks for everyone. Hopefully they can get it all worked out.
My opinion is if he wants to take someone elses tune and tweak it so be it, BUT you have to give credit where it is due from where you got it.

I had no idea the President couldn't sue, lol Since you brought up Shampoo, how about if someone posts online that the shampoo they used makes their hair dry or fall out and that the shampoo maker has no real knowledge of how to make shampoo, or that they think the shampoo maker simply used someone else's shampoo formula and called it their own, is that libel to? I mean stop trying to find every angle to lawyer your way out of what someone is trying to get through to you, you can't be serious? FWIW I'm not an expert on the law, but one would hope there is common sense and most can see BS lawyer tactics when they come up, and attorney's certainly disagree on what words or actions could constitute libel or defamation.

I doubt very much that you'd be acting the same way if it was ESS that got flamed and not BPM.
Fair enough, maybe your ego is intact. Touché on your last point, but unlike you I know a thing or two on how FI works on the S65, you know legal jargon or work at some practice, or at least assert that you do, let's move along, I don't care to debate or discuss legal concepts with Hujan on a car forum, anymore, what you did was crossing the line IMHO.

This thread has ran it's course, I think we should all take a good look at what Sal posted on that other forum, it's pretty serious, or is that just blowing smoke in your eyes?

OK i opened this thread and i saw lawsuits being discussed... just wow. I would have not been surprised at all with private pics of Benvo, Roman etc... But discussing lawsuit?? I have to admit i didn't have that in mind. This thread is low for sure, but not enough low to have law garbage.

The only thing I found is the thread on GB. Interesting reading if true. But it's hard to know who or what to believe, which is why the better practice is to avoid taking an affirmative position one way or another.

Frankly, the fighting, name calling, and accusations between tuners kind of saddens me and turns me off to the whole tuning scene no matter who's right.

I agree. Time to move on. My point to avoid stating things as facts about a company unless you can back them up is universal. It's a dangerous game and not worth the potential downsides. If you have inside info (and it seems several of you are confident you do), more power to you, though in my opinion the downsides still outweigh the benefits.

Fair enough and point taken. I hope we never disagree or at odds again, this is a lot of work.

so ESS accuses Evolve of stealing a tune from them, which made the news section on the other forum in January of this year, and now Evolve accuses Bpm from stealing a tune from ESS?

What the heck is going on in here? Hard to believe anyone.

I don't know if you want to go that path, from what it sounds like Mike asked Sal from Evolve for some help with your tune and sent him a file that was used by another company (unless I am reading it wrong)

First of all, don't believe a single thing that Sticky writes on front page. Lot's of BS has made it to front page as well. I was in that site, i know that. He creates drama, and drama attracts people. Simple as that.

Secondly, if you are talking about the time when Evolve tuned a ESS hardware for E46, ESS never accused Evolve of anything iirc. They were not pleased with such act, just like here.

Thirdly, this is tuning scene brother. Saints aren't welcomed in here.

Not to be a dick, but where were when people were asking for technical info? Things aren't looking very good my friend. In here you either create a thread with real facts, or basically you get a thread full of crap like this one if you just talk your "feeling". This whole BS thing wouldn't happen if you waited for your dyno numbers.
Again don't get me wrong, i have nothing against you just trying to tell you how to avoid shit storm.
And btw if you are happy with your car that's all that matters whether Benvo did the tuning part or not.

What i got out of it is that m3 tuners dont like each other.

Never seen this previously that i am mind blown. Doesnt make me compelled to believe one more than the other at this rate is all im saying.

What does the future behold?????

WOW, just WOW

Just read Sal's post on the "time out corner" board. Wow

If no one has already said it I'm saying it now...Mike Benvo is exactly what the "haters" have accused him off.

Powerchip 2.0 anyone? I called it early
