Install doesn't seem bad, but haven't seen anyone post anything about a DIY.

If you could post a few notes about your install or any tips that might make it go a little quicker for the rest of us, that'd be great!

the part actually comes with picture instructions, doesn't seem difficult if you have the right tools. I will post pics when install is finished. Also adding RPi Scoops at the very least for the red cosmetic features lol

IIRC, think you need a 10mm socket for one bolt that needs to be replaced (having a 10mm socket is a good idea anyway for this car).

Thanks. I was planning on doing this all with a screwdriver socket bit set. Or should I plan on using a socket wrench?

depends on the length of the screwdriver...as I recall some screwdrivers may be too long.

You don't need a video OR review from here, man - I have an intake plus my MPE that you can hear and experience TODAY in person. hahaha Respond to my PM to schedule timing, maybe we can grab a beer nearby too.

And for others who aren't nearby - I can fully attest that any intake mod will complement the MPE tremendously. Perfectly. Flawlessly. For the following reasons:

1.) Induction noise from any aftermarket intake (anything that deletes the carbon filter pre-2010 E9X M3, or is light cotton pleated but oiled post-2010) roars into life at approximately 4000 RPM and beyond. It also depends on how fast you're going (I find the I'M-SWALLOWING-A-LARGE-VOLUME-OF-AIR-RIGHT-NOW-GOOD-SIR noise from my S65 sometimes doesn't come in if I'm at a stand still at a stop light). The sound is amazing - it's as if I just helped out my engine by taking off the duct tape that was covering its mouth; the V8 burble can finally speak to me clearly.

2.) The perfect acoustic harmonics of the Inconel that makes up the MPE resonate at roughly 3300 RPM to 4000 RPM. This tone is to DIE FOR and it's the biggest reason I got the MPE (aside from the fact that this is by far one of the most "acoustically linear" axlebacks in the market - the exotic tone will never wear out at any RPM band, regardless of how loud your S65 induction is screaming at your face). At WOT, an MPE will scream in concert with the aftermarket intake's V8 baritone roar.

In short:

• MPE pipes up its beautiful tenor range starting at 3300 RPM.
• Aftermarket intake starts roaring its magnificent baritone voice at 4000 RPM.
• Anything after 4000 RPM is...
