Be careful when you want to do this, after 2 minutes with my hands in the exhaust,
it was first blood (not the Rambo movie) LOL But a cut in my hand.....the burr of the stainless steel....cut like a scalpel ! Wearing leather gloves !!! But it's worth......now i have a super nice sporty exhaust sound !(believe me guys) |

Yes I used a MIG welder,it was not easy, because the exhaust is double walled, next I oversprayed the weldings with zinc spray , to prevent rust. Exhaust was opened on top...so you can see ....0 of the welds . It's now six months ago,and looks still perfect....and importand...sounds really amazing...just like I wanted, the ///M3 should sound like this from the factory, and importand for me...0...drone ! I started with the work of the mod. 09.00 AM and was done around...18.15 PM It was work , but really worth ! Good question from you.....
Make the full pipe good fit in between, and weld as fare as possible under the pipe. Don't worry...the perforated pipe was full of holes...so...no problem. Even the original (oem-pipe )are not welded 100 % under the pipe.....You should... heare the result.... Last edited by ///M Power-Belgium; 12-13-2012 at 10:16 AM.. |

The shop that did mine could not reach "under" the pipe to make a full weld either, but it was solidly in place before closing up and I have had no issues since the project was completed. I love the sound as well!
