Just a thought:

If F80 rear brakes fit directly with just the use of a small washer, also the F80 CCB / F87 M2 2NH 380 mm brakes should fit. Those rear brakes should be able to be tucked inside (some) 18" wheels.

Is there any concerns mounting a F80 CCB rear only brake kit, along with AP Racing steel front brakes? As far as I know, the main concerns about utilizing CCB's is that they don't handle excessive heat very well, but I'd guess the rear brakes shouldn't be an issue? It would be nice to drop 10 lbs of rotating mass from the driven wheels.

What do you think about this. Would it be a good solution for track usage?
It would of course come down to if it would be able to source a good set of discs for a reasonable price...
I think ccb requires different brake booster. I guess ccb requires more hydraulic pressure? Either way, mixing steel front and and ccb rear is probably not recommendable.

Seems like you're right about different pressure for CCB.
Might not be worth trying. Especially with those disc prices!

However, cars like the Audi TT RS is (or can be) delivered with CCB front and steel rear brakes.

Both front and back are larger f8x rotors
I was told by BSI upgrades on Facebook that to install F8x M brakes would only require adapters that cost only 240$. Is this true? Another company VYS garage said I would need F8x hubs and rotors. BSI upgrades doesn't send large packages because their overseas, but if they did they say I just need the adapters with the calipers and I'd be good to go. I hate e9x calipers, for some reason I just need my calipers to be a nice shiny red or blue if that's what's easier to get at the time. Remote image:

I’m with you… I don’t mind keeping my stock rotors what I really want are nicer calipers.

Improvements in brake fade and thermal heat capacity are two I know of when upgrading from the OEM E9X M3 sliding calipers to fixed multi-piston calipers. Improvement in stopping distance will be a function of brake pad coefficient of friction and tire compound. Improvements in rotor swept area and rotor thermal storage are a function of rotor size i.e. the inner and outer rotor diameters [bigger is better] from top hat edge to the outer rotor edge, rotor mass, rotor material and rotor thickness. Here are some reference resources for you to digest. In these areas it has been my experience that Porsche typically know what they are doing.

Thanks, Doc, ya know I agree, in my experience as well, Porsche has thought out there stuff. If tt is on a GT it is function over form. I do (of course) know that in general a BBK is an upgrade, however there are plenty of people in here making their braking worse to fit more attractive bling behind their rim. If this one offers beter braking distances or any of the other factors you mentioned it is much more attractive than say just a caliper replacement.

I was not sure if this is one of the good ones, adjacent ones or at least not worse in terms of capability. Thank you for the resources, I appreciate it.

I did some quick calculations and it seems that it throws brake bias WAYYY off (18z more so than 17z), but I’d like to hear other chime in
There's a whole group of people in that area of so cal that all seem to know each other and work together and sell a lot of products for this platform, mainly through instagram and it all seems a little suspect if you ask me. They all seemed to pop up in the last couple years out of no where. There are a couple shops down there involved in it and a couple youtubers. Kinda seems like they're just using social media to market each other's products/shops.

Personally I'd rather get a used BBK from classifieds here for $4K that was purposely built for this platform than something that was pulled off a wrecked porsche and "rebuilt" by someone I've never heard of.

I just got a msg from them.it is different,but if you purchase the bracket for the alfa and leave a note that it is the maserati 6 pot,they will send you the correct bracket
These adaptors won't fit with the Maserati 6 pot calipers. We have designed the adaptors, if you order these and add in the notes they're for the Maserati Ghibli we can supply the correct adaptors.
I will be doing that swap as well.with stock rotors.just got to find the best pads,if anyone can chime in and recommend pads to get with maserati 6 pot on stock rotors that will be greatly appreciated
So are the freaky parts rear adapter kit using the 4 pot front calipers from a Giulia or do I need to find 4 pot rears (not sure they are different or exist)?

VW Touarege Brembo BM5 46mm/46mm pistons - 3322mm2

That is going to throw the brake bias a decent amount forward.
66.7% front bias vs 63% stock

Previously someone said the AMG C63 calipers would give these results:
"The larger piston area of the W204 C63 Brembo caliper will give you slightly longer pedal travel and a slightly softer pedal, however will provide greater clamping force."

So the BM5 calipers would probably give a longer pedal travel, even softer pedal but provide greater clamping force than the C63 amg setup.

Yes pedal was a little longer and softer at first, but after I did the DSC recalibration on ProTools, it firmed the pedal up again.

Yes sounds like you had air in the system at first, but I think that means overall because of the larger piston area and the need to push more fluid, the result is a softer pedal compared to stock.
Anyone running a ZL1 kit?
