I did over inflate them before storing to 50psi and then when I checked pressure they were all at 44psi

With the coverage I have it's $1401.00CDN

2mill liability
$500 collision
$300 comprehensive

I gotta check my papers again for accurate numbers but the price I paid was $1401.00
so... you completely cut off insurance while you keep your car stored? and then reactivate for a few months at a time?
what about potential theft or fire or such?

Parked in a garage, plus we have parking insurance.

This is the first time the cars gone uninsured for a few months since I've owned it.

Normally it stays insured 365 days but this new rate policy change we got in British Columbia royally screwed over young drivers.

hopefully their last track day. we all start out new to something before we are good at something, but this dude has zero clue as to what a racing line is.

another interesting thing is you nearly followed him off the hill- probably because you were in shock seeing what this dude did. they always say, you drive were your eyes look and this might be an example of that.
Right on both counts. I was just as much a novice as he was and I got fixated on following him (target fixation?) and actually had 3 wheels off the track before recovering

The Adams Ceramic wheel coating is holding up so far.. it's been about a month, one wash and a few hundred miles since I applied it, which I know isn't a lot. I love the smooth feel to touch and all I did was hose and wipe the inner barrels. I applied it to two sets of wheels and I think I have a set's worth extra to spare so value seems pretty good. It was a labor intensive process for the older used wheels pictured. Proper cleaning, prepping and applying took a few hours. After the month and before wash, I noticed less brake dust on the wheels then before treatment. So far I would recommend this product, it seems to be excellent. I was skeptical about applying to satin finished wheels too but I don't see any patchiness.
I am about to do exactly this but using cquartz d.lux.

Did you take the wheels off? did you do any prep on the surface? Did you use the spray ceramic or the liquid?
installed a carbon trunk yesterday, need to make a few more adjustments and the fitment will be 100%%%.

I do this with my Cayman and M3 when they hibernate in winter. Remove collision but keep comprehensive coverage for the 3/4 months they arenโ€™t driven. Still covered if a tree falls on the garage or the car is stolen, etc. Just canโ€™t drive it it with no comprehensive. Only saves me a few hundred bucks but worth a 5 minute phone call to my insurance.

Yes, target fixation is a real thing on the track. You saw what was happening and slowed down, too. They say you go where your eyes look.
You were wise to not try and pass him around turn 6-7. It's like he was giving your room, but forgot to point. You could probably assume he had no idea you were behind him as well.

Safe to say you had a good day out there though?

Yes wheels off, I washed with a mild degreaser then dawn. Let dry then the kit came with a prep spray, which I think was just alcohol. The stuff I applied went on a small sponge, wipe on, left for thirty seconds then wipe off.

Holy snap! Noobs on GT6 and GT Sport do this all the time!

But yeah, thanks to Gran Turismo I know that track from memory and how to take corners.

You guys might have seen me out there with either a Miata NA or MR2.

That diff cover looks a bit oily.. might want to have them check the axle shaft seals on the diff too.

Good observation, will have that looked at. Thanks
Finished adding some M stitching to my shift/e-brake boots. Really happy with how it turned out.

Did you have to cut the leather at the base of the shift knob?

Yes, the oem boot is made into the shift knob

No, the entire shift knob/boot comes out like so:

You then heat the adhesive holding the leather to the plastic frame with your girlfriend's hair dryer and pry it back with a small flat head screwdriver - only enough to access the stitching. Once complete you simply glue the leather back to the frame. Really rather simple.
