hey Tom, on the 106K engine, any recollection of the clutch condition? was it changed before the s/c upgrade?

I hear what I believe is a throw out bearing making noise in my 126k engine (slight noise until depressed clutch pedal), so thinking of swapping in new clutch, blackstone oil analysis then rod bearing upgrade, then install my ESS kit.

Purchasing a 2008 M3 DCT w/ 66K miles on it. I wanted to see if there is a highly confident way for me to know if it needs the bearings. Is there something other than "ticking" I can listen to or look for?

There isnt really a way to tell besides looking at the bearings. The Blackstone oil sample reports are a good way to tell but they generally require a few test samples for diagnosis.
