After recently finishing my last job, I’ve finally had some time to complete the interactive dashboard for North American spec E9x M3s.

So, if you always wanted to know how rare your spec is, you can now find out.

--Note, this works best on a computer or tablet, rather than a phone--

Most of the visuals are clickable so you can filter to the cars that meet your given criteria. Hopefully you find it intuitive to use – you can always click on Image hosted on: i.postimg.cc at the top to return the page to its starting position.

Image hosted on: i.postimg.cc at the top right displays how many cars meet the currently selected criteria.

As an example, if you want to see how many stripper-spec E92s were made for North America, you can select Speed Cloth from the Interior dropdown, then click on E92, Manual, Single-hump and Carbon Roof to find the answer (hold down the CTRL key as you make multiple selections). The answer’s 210 - 14 for Canada, 196 for the USA.

North American E9x M3s came in a variety of 64 different colours. You can turn on 'Drill Mode' at the top of the colour list by clicking this button.

Image hosted on: i.postimg.cc

With that enabled, clicking on a colour will then drill-down to show how many in that colour came with each interior option...

You’ll also see a dropdown showing the 11 Special Editions offered in North America.
[*]25th Anniversary Edition (US only)
[*]Canada Fire Orange Edition (Canada only)
[*]Canada Santorini Blue Edition (Canada only)
[*]Competition Edition KA381 (Canada, offered in other markets)
[*]Edition KA335 (Canada, offered in other markets)
[*]Frozen Black Edition KA355 (Canada, offered in other markets)
[*]Frozen Black Edition KA373 (US & Canada, offered in other markets)
[*]Frozen Grey Edition KA373 (US & Canada, offered in other markets)
[*]Frozen Limited Edition KA419 (US & Canada, offered in other markets)
[*]Frozen Silver Edition KA381 (US, offered in other markets)
[*]Lime Rock Park Edition (US only)

Notes: the Premium, Technology, Convenience and Cold Weather packages were a BMW USA offering. Therefore for Canadian cars, you will see ‘n/a’ against these packages.
The Competition Package was only offered on the E90 and E92. For the E93, you will see ‘n/a’.

Do let me know if you come across any bugs or typos.

Finally, researching, organising and maintaining this data and website has taken many years to achieve and does have ongoing costs (storage, hosting etc). If you find the information useful, please consider making a donation via the PP link on the web site.

This is awesome been waiting for it and thank for the the Euro service records on my E90.
So wait, I'm only 1 of 2 Jerez/Palladium extended with competition for 2013, and the only one with DCT? Sweet.

Doubles the value of my car right there.

This is pretty cool.

This means I am 1/4 cars in the same spec.

2012 E92 Jarez Black, Black interior (non extended), ZCP, Carbon roof, hifi, no cold weather pack.

Of those 4, I wonder how many were optioned with heated seats. Mine has it.

Just goes to show if I ever had to replace this car, and wanted an identically specced car, it would be impossible, let alone finding one in the same condition as mine.

Cool stuff.
Love this community. Here we are a dozen years removed from these cars being on the showroom floors, and we're still getting great support. Great work...

1/1 here for 2011. 1/2 if no consideration for year (other being 2009). Still some one off "options" that could drill it down further for a full picture of "one of x" consideration. Interior trim, heated seats, rear parking distance sensors, etc.

2011 E90 Le Mans Blue, Speed Cloth interior, slicktop, single hump, manual, no Cold Weather, no Technology, no Premium, no ZCP.
This is pretty cool
My boring ass spec is 1 of 4! Yay for resale, and donated :D

Thanks for putting this together. Can't imagine the effort it took. I always wondered about my car and now I know, and it's better than I expected (definitely won't be bragging about this to people lol).

2011 Non-ZCP E90 6MT Slicktop Space Grey Palladium non-extended Double Hump Convenience Pkg
If we finite deep enough, we are all 1 of 1!! :)
What a great tool! Thanks for sharing
Great tool! Thanks for putting this together!

It says I own the one and only 2011, 6MT, E93 Jet Black 2, fox and black interior, that has the premium, convenience and cold weather packages without a technology package.

Probably won't make it rare, but a fun fact to know and own!

Thanks again!

Thank you. You are the best
Can’t begin to thank you enough for the incredible wealth of information you have provided - immense appreciation from me and everyone I’ve told about this…you’re the man, thank you thank you!!
Wow amazing work and thank you!
Of the 3 I’ve had:

1/2- DCT E93

1/29- DCT E90

1/15- 6MT E90

It appears by the time you drill down the options they become pretty unique.

Awesome tool!
As a Data Engineer, I truly appreciate this. Paypal sent!! Thank you!

Pretty cool! Looks like my car may have been the last non-competition Mineral White/Beige DCT car BMW produced.

There seems to be one other that was produced later, but it was a comp. pack.
Great work! Love a good powerbi dash.

Where does this type of data live? Is it harder to get for current gen cars? I always wonder how g series owners are claiming they’re 1 of x specs in the US.
Wow thank you. I don't have an E90 but that's alot of work!
Damn! I need this for the f90 M5 comp. I’ve always been curious about the production numbers
