Leftover Chinese takeout pork mai fun, from last night's dinner.

For those who do not know mai fun, it is more or less identical to lo mein. The major difference is that instead of thick lo mein noodles, they use an angel-hair-type rice noodle. A lot of takeout places don't have it on their menus, but the place in town does and hasn't messed it up yet so far.....

I had two ground brisket hot dogs for lunch yesterday, from a local farmers' market. Gotta love the south, because each hot dog was almost 1/4 pound and filled a packaged hot dog bun perfectly! They look like a sausage in terms of size, but taste like really good hot dogs. I wasn't even tempted to put condiments on them, because the meat was tasty enough to stand on its own.....
The very last of the Costco roast chicken made up a wholemeal club sandwich with the usual snippets of salad and drops of thousand island dressing, washed down with a cup of Rosie Lee, so no need for supper as it filled me up enough.

My wife and I tried a new restaurant for lunch called Scotty Dog's Lounge & Grill. We had crab balls as an appetizer. She had Shrimp Scampi and I had crab cakes and fries. They also have hard shell crabs that we will be trying in the future.

Gas station sushi, ;) but of the Italian kind. Another popular franchised counter for gas stations in these parts is Hunt Brothers Pizza:

Had a slice (what they call 1/4 pie) of Lotsa Meat Pizza, pre-made and dying in a cardboard box under heat lamps. The crust was very thick, but it was a serviceable pizza slice in a hurry.....
