Mickey D's just started offering it here in the states a few days ago as a limited-time special, but it is supposedly a regular menu item already in some of their global markets. The thing is a double quarter pounder on a sesame and poppy seed bun, topped with a sorta Big Mac sauce, pickles. white cheddar, slivered onions like the QPC, and frizzled onions. I tried one for dinner on launch day, and was disappointingly not overwhelmed...well, except by the two different types of onions killing the flavor of everything else. I plan to try one again before the special ends, but without both types of onions.
There's a video circulating online of the McCEO taking a tiny nibble out of one at a press conference, and it looked like he wasn't a fan of this "product" (his odd choice of words) either.....

The McDonald's Big Arch in Canada is a new, larger, and more filling burger featuring two 100% Canadian beef quarter-pound patties, three slices of white cheddar cheese, crispy onions, slivered onions, pickles, and a new tangy "Big Arch" sauce on a sesame and poppy seed bun.
Key Details:
Release: The Big Arch began testing in Ontario and Alberta in June 2024, and was officially introduced across Canada, following its success as a test market.
Ingredients: The burger is designed as a more substantial option, containing roughly 1,065 calories and featuring a combination of crispy and raw onions with a unique sauce.
Availability: It is available at participating McDonald’s locations across Canada.
Global Context: Canada was one of the first markets to test this burger, which is being introduced to address demand for larger, more filling
vreihen16 wroteI might try this in the next few days to see what it’s like. Don’t hardly eat fast food anymore. These days it’s always cold and soggy (at least around here), and expensive. Heard this burger is around 9 bucks. That's a lot for a McDonald’s hamburger.Do all y'all up north of the border get the new Big Arch burger yet?
