Is there a link from BMWUSA where i put in my production number to get a status on my production? I looked on the website and can't find it. I have signed up through the owners section of the webite.

Once you have an account just log into it and under "MY Account" click on "Add or Remove a Vehicle". You can use a production number of VIN.

Unfortunately, you cannot get detailed status online. Best is to have your client advisor check on their system with a "Vehicle Inquiry" for you occasionally. You can also get more current information by calling BMWUSA, though I don't think they give you the detailed production steps.

No problem, i freaked out at first too and emailed my guy and he said just let the system update. As for production, it might take a few weeks...My order went in 1/31 and has a week 11 build. So thats about 3 weeks #111, 2 weeks 112 and then finally 150...

So, 112 means 2 weeks... till start build or what? I don't get... Would someone care to explain what it means when a M3 has 112 code?

I got a 111 code from BMW of North America.

If your car is 112, can any aspect of your order not be changed?

I was at the dealer today and spoke w/ my CA. We pulled my car up on the computer and it had 112 status. I told him I was thinking of switching to fox red. His reply was that some changes can't be made while a car is 112. From discussions with the guy he clearly doesn't know as much about bmws or the ordering process, but, I'm curious if there is any truth to what he said. (i.e. any truth to the assertion that some aspects of your order can't be changed once a car is 112 - and what aspects those are)????

edit: after doing more research it appears you can change everything in status 112 but the CA might have gotten the idea because cars don't stay at 112 very long..

On my early production '08 car, it was about 3 weeks from status 112 to 151 (VIN issued) and car was completed 1 week later.

im getting "your vehicle is at the port awaiting a shipping vessel? " wtf does that mean the car docked in NJ on 11/29... shows released to customs and everything 12/3 ? im assuming shipping vessel means truck to the dealer?

you wont get any status updates after that message. check online for more info on your "mybma na" account

okay cool thanks for the info ! online it says finishing touches...

so boat docked 11/29 car released thru customs today (12/3) the dealer is 36 miles from port/VPC... can I assume I will get the car this weekend?
