Got an interesting call from a market research firm today

It seems like E92M owners are being targeted by a market research firm that's representing a "high-end performance car manufacturer". The caller wouldn't say which company he was calling on behalf of, but said that company was specifically interested in talking to E92M owners about said company's next performance car. I was asked to pick a car manufacturer that I would not consider purchasing from in the future, and Chevrolet was the only domestic brand on the list, so I have a sinking suspicion that the conversation will be about the C7 Corvette.

At any rate, the actual focus group/interview is taking place about a week from now, and will run three and a half hours per session. The caller was explicit that I would have to leave any cell phones or recording devices at the front door. I hope that means the actual car will be at the event, though I suspect it will more likely be sketches.

Anyone else get a similar call?

I was being solicited to survey non-stop via regular mail,email and phone about 3 or 4 months ago. Someone(perhaps many) really wanted M3 owner opinions. Then it all stopped.

Most focus groups are paid events, as is this one.

Haven't had one of these in a while. Back when the cars were "New" first on the market I must have gotten 3 dozen mail in surveys and phone calls about it. Made a little extra spending money in the process as well
