As announced on M3POST HOMEPAGE.
BMW Performance Carbon Fiber Aerodynamic Components for M3 * 28.06.2010 * Press Release Woodcliff Lake, NJ – June 28, 2010… BMW of North America has announced three BMW Performance aerodynamic accessories for the M3 Coupe, Sedan, and Convertible. The new rear deck lid spoiler [Rear deck lid spoiler not applicable to M3 Convertible], mirror caps, and front splitters are constructed of ultra-rigid carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) composite material, matching the standard CFRP roof panel of the M3 Coupe. Each component is shaped based on advanced research conducted in one of BMW’s Munich-based wind tunnels. This ensures compatibility with the overall aerodynamic “signature” of the M3, serving to reduce lift and minimize drag. Such characteristics are appropriate to enhance the vehicle’s high-speed stability while maintaining fuel efficiency. Like the CFRP roof panels on the M3 Coupe and M6 Coupe, BMW Performance components made of carbon fiber have been climate and durability tested during development to ensure long-term quality. Each component is finished in a special clear coat laminate to reflect ultraviolet radiation. BMW Performance accessories feature a 2-year / unlimited mileage warranty. If installed before a customer takes delivery of a new M3, the BMW Performance accessories will share coverage of the 4-year / 50,000-mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty. The new BMW Performance aerodynamic accessories are going on sale this month at Authorized BMW Centers.

It's interesting that BMW only now sent out a press release when these parts have been available on the market for months. I'm waiting for more news on the upcoming BMW Performance exhaust for the M3.

These parts are definately a great add-on to the car. I got these parts installed at my dealer when my car was delivered. Quick pics below, full set of photos here! http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=397446

I wish that rear spoiler was maybe half the height, more than stock but not this high. IMO it's too tall. I don't care what BMW says about the aerodynamics as the stick Gurney flap already has a proven benefit. If I wanted a poke in my eye and the downforce to go with it then I'd get a wing.
What about a rear diffuser? That would clean up the rear very nicely. I like the new IND/Challenge diffuser. Just my opinion.

I will be looking very hard at these CF pieces. I am very glad to hear that they were tested in a wind tunnel. I am extremely picky about fit and finish and could not spend $$$$ if it did not fit perfectly.

I just ordered a 2011 m3 with every option haha.. I purchased the carbon fiber front splitter and carbon fiber mirror caps but the rear deck carbon fiber lip definitely was not an option. I wonder why the dealer didn't bring it up :/.. Although I'm not fully sold on it, as beautiful as the carbon fiber looks, it does seem a tad large.

Hopefully a whole package maybe? Maybe exhaust, intake, more aggressive factory tune? Then market it as more power but also louder and may not be for everyone.

I don't think they look good on white. If I had another color I would have got the splitters.

I LOVE my CF roof, but I don't like the splitters or that rear spoiler. Too much carbon.
On AW it looks even worse than SG - to each his own here. I guess these have been out for months but might have been Euro parts? Now they're "officially" BMW NA parts - LOL ![]() And that color is AMAZING, with a saddle brown interior, wow that would like stunning.
