Jerez Black + Fox Red, Which Trim?

So, after stopping by a dealing and seeing the colors in person I'm pretty sold on Jerez Black with the extended Fox Red interior.

I HATE the carbon leather trim, which is what every car on the lot was ordered with.

Which trim would you choose? Can you do Titanium Shadow or just the Brushed Aluminum / Anthracite Wood?

Anyone have pictures of this combo with those trims?

You can't do Titanium Shadow unless you steer clear of the Premium Package, which is going to prevent you from ordering Enhanced Premium Audio (that used to just require nav even if it was ordered as a standalone, but now it require ZPP).

As for trim choice, there's a reason all the Fox Red interiors on the lot were ordered with Carbon Leather. I personally believe that anthracite has no place in a car like an M3, but it DEFINITELY has no place with Fox Red. As for aluminum, you may be able to find some pics on these boards with Fox Red and aluminum, but I personally think that many colors in the interior creates a clash. The trim itself is very nice, but black, red, and silver is a bit much IMHO.

EDIT: Pics of Fox Red with aluminum (yet another demonstration of how wildly Fox Red varies in photos): http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=399702

Get the Carbon Leather trim, you'll have no problem finding someone willing to swap interior parts with you and you may even make a buck or two.

I ordered my e92 without carbon leather cause I didn't like it initially. Now I've got carbon leather trim on order. I've come full circle and feel it's the nicest/most fitting trim offering by BMW for our M3's.

If you get piano black (although it requires an individual VIN), geeeeeeet it. It would look fantastic with the Fox Red - sporty with a touch of class.

Otherwise, another option I think would look nice is the OEM Performance Carbon Fibre trim, nice and glossy. I'm not a big fan of the carbon leather trim either, although I don't think it looks bad.

Piano Black looks awesome. And the upcharge isn't that bad at all.

Does anyone know a dealer in the San Francisco Bay Area who has experience with individual options?

I ordered the aluminum trim for my JB/FR 'vert. I'd share some photos ... but my M3 is still en-route.

I just thought the aluminum trim gave it a very modern look ... and I like the aluminum trim I currently have with my VW GTi.

Piano black! Order it and if you end up wishing you got the Carbon Lather instead, I'll trade you.

Piano black. I had the anthracite which I felt looked very cheap so bought a set of Aluminium trims from eBay for £60 and had my bodyshop spray them gloss black for another £60.

Bargain and it looks stunning.

The sycamore anthracite looks nice with fox red, but isn't easy to photograph. Another option would be getting color matched trim in Jerez black from IND.

If you are ready to go individual order piano black. I had a chance to look at 3 year old m3 with fox red an aluminum trim and it made my ordering decision very simple - extended fox red with carbon leather. Two reasons - it becomes a very busy setup with black/red/silver colors that I simply didn't like and the trim was scratched badly (according to the dealership folks it is very common for aluminum trim). Had my JzBlck/ExtFR/CL for three months now and love it.

I've heard that aluminum scratches easily as well, but I still love it in my black interior for the contrast; I'm just careful about my seatbelt and don't have kids and such to deal with, so I figure I should be ok. But yes as others have said if you can handle the Individual upcharge, Piano Black would probably trump all. But I thought there was a $5K charge just to put anything Individual on your car that's added before the cost of any actual Individual options you specify? That would be a bit much for different trim IMHO.
