We previously reported that the famous E60 M5 ring taxi would be replaced by the M3. Here it is - the new ring taxi is now a E90 M3 and available for rides.

Unfortunately, it appears that, as expected, Sabine Schmitz is no longer the ring taxi driver. It is now driven by the instructors from the BMW Driving Experience program - much like it used to be in past years.

Visit BMW's Ring-Taxi web site to find out more info about the experience and to book a most exciting taxi ride around the ring. Thanks to Dackelone for the photos!

Long live the S85!! I wonder why they aren't going to wait for the F10 M5 to be released. It's more appropriate.

No ZCP? Maybe it's a ZCP with the lighter and smaller stock 18's?

It must be a temporary car until they release the new M5...

Considering how fast they go through tires I'm not surprised at all they have the 18"s.

I would suspect the car is spec'd exactly how it should be. The 'ring taxi doesn't really need bling, or better sounding exhaust.

It's job is to thoroughly thrash the track.

This is going to be painful for those sitting in the rear... I bet it's just temporary.

I saw them there a few weeks ago - look great, much better than the M5's for the 'ring - the M5 was just too big.

IMHO the back of an e60 doesn't feel appreciably more spacious than an e90. If you want real leg room and performance, get an Alpina B7 or better yet a Panny Turbo S.

By the look of the dull markings (Lack of Ring-Taxi markings) I would agree... this is just to get them by for a short while.

I was there that day when Dack took those pics. STOOPID RAIN!!!!! Sad that Sabine is no longer a part of the Ring Taxi. Even though the Drivers definetly put the car through its paces, Having Sabine as your pilot on one lap is an experience in itself.
