What impresses me most is what amg is doin with sls black series. Reducing the drivetrain weight even further to spin a 6.2l to 8k rpm. Bmw where ya at? |

It definitely does. SportAuto measured the no aero C63 PP is faster by 17km/h compared to the BS on the Döttinger Höhe of the Nürburgring.

Yes top speed was 287 vs 270 km/h. But around fast tracks the wings, diffusor and flaps will definitely provide an advantage.

Not sure, I like the 6.2 and the Weistec setups as much as anyone else, but the S65 still produces more power per liter and revs to 8400rpm, so I guess you could argue pluses for both, but for big power I agree the 6.2L does seem like a much easier route. Either way I'd be happy to own either.

Weistec, is a sponsor at the event, which is awesome and exciting for us at Shift-S3ctor. Jim's cars will do extremely well, I'm looking forward to meeting him and the guys as Weistec too. Should be interesting for sure, but I have zero chance against the 1000HP setup! He'll be a good match for a lot of the big HP cars that will be there, Josh's Built Motor Stage 3 Weistec C63 (Silver Dragon) will be there as well, should be epic.

Your right that there is always an event around the corner. The next planned high speed event for me will be the Texas mile as we should join the 200mph club there. I read something about an event in Chicago in June...might try that if I am in the country. ttyl

Sounds good, would love to hit the Texas mile one of these days, I have no doubt that you'll do well there, best of luck.

Seems to me that Drew's car is a good match for these Stage 3 C63s. Not bad at all IMO, considering about the same amount of money went into the two cars (if you consider the BS at least).

It's still is ricey as hell. The aero stuff on the C63 BS aero pack (and also the SLS BS) belong to Lancer and Sentra. I don't know what the hell has happened to AMG design department, it seems they put some Need For Speed Underground junkies in charge. Last edited by Soorena; 03-09-2013 at 12:14 PM.. |

But looks good on video, and have a feel good feeling of what an awesome base car we have in a stock ///3.
Very good for pub bragging. Waste of money for everyday use unless the cars are often tracked, I mean at least once or twice a month in pro events. One won't be able to drive on the streets like that, and it will be a licence to lose the licence. Guys, drive carefully and enjoy your cars. Thank you for posting the video collection. Awesome
