IDrive Upgrade..
Ok i am thinking of updating my 08 idrive... just the console and IDRIVE knob... I search and search and noticed that there are several part numbers for the newer idrive itself. can someone chime in on the actual PART #?
I noticed that some say the new one has more clicks and more stable? I have an 08 and want to upgrade to a new one. I just need the part number.

you should upgrade to the f10 5series knob. that one is badass and more firm when clicking...same size too..i was thinking about doing that, if i ever had to replace mine.

Has anyone tried to see if the F10 knob works in an 08 model? It should be the same as the F30 knob?

I actually like the aluminum knob better since I have the aluminum trim. That being said if I were to upgrade the entire system to the '09+ version I would most definitely upgrade the knob as well.
