EVO 7 @ 50psi! 9500rpm?!

How is 9500rpm possible at that kind of power (900hp) and boost, something has got to give, no?

Iron block + head work. 50psi is irrelevant without knowing what turbo is on the car.

It probably wont last too long running like that, but there are plenty of 900whp EVO's running around.

Can't watch the video right now as im at work. But 50psi sounds like wayyyy too much boost to be "only" making 900hp with 9500rpm!

Yeah, iron block, upgraded rods, etc, I've never come across 50psi, hence why I asked

I'm at 26psi on a 2.3 stroker, 20% Ethanol with a Low Boost switch.

At 50 PSI I should have 1800-anytimetowing on quick dial.

Good on him for doing a clean build but any credit I give the guy is lost with the parachute...that he's never used...and drives around town with.

Matt did not need to go all the way there to see an Evo like that. There a more than a couple 1000+hp Evos that run 8 second at over 160mph quarter miles in the united states. These are the cars that actually require a chute per NHRA rules.

My stock inline 6 runs 17.3:1 compression at 32psi....
