How to prevent chips?
Do you guys use 3m clear bar or something similar? My car is my DD and I track it every chance I get. Around twice a month.
I'm referring to when the track they lay out sand over oil spills or other substances. What do you suggest? Thanks |

Clear bra works great but is costly. Front bumper, mirrors, partial hood will run you up to a grand depending on the installer and the material of choice.
Automotive painters tape works fine but is time consuming. If you do go this route, make sure you find Automotive specific, household painters tape is much stronger and can actually pull the paint (especially if you had a respray). Ask me how I know. cover... front bumper, half the hood, mirror covers, and areas behind the wheels. A buddy of mine uses this paint, it can be applied via brush or spray and it peels right off. It's similar to plastidip but easier to pull off. |
