Audi TTRS Vs ESS S/C M3
I had no idea the TTRS could be so fast. I was certain that a supercharged M3 was hands-down the best/fastest 2 door Euro car you could buy without dumping loads of money into.
Anyone driven a TTRS? How does it compare to the M3? As far as modding platform, I think there is a new contender. The one here is 6 spd since they say 3rd gear let go during the day, i dont think there is a DSG option available in the US, is there? |

Everybody knows that TTRS is wicked. I think Car and Driver got a 3.7sec 0 to 60 time outta that thing.

No DSG, no launch control. Matt Farah did a pretty good review of the APR stage 3 kit. Not a bad way to spend $13 grand...

Wasn't suspecting that the M3 would take it from a dig on the first run. But the TTRS' reaction time was slower and did trap a little higher.

I owned both and still own my E90 M3 that is SC and catless. Kit is ESS575.
My TTRS was stage 2 with updated haladex race controller outing almost 100% of power to the rear wheels. It was extremely fast and although I have no personal videos of the two racing one another, the TTRS has about 200-300 weight advantage. 0-100 my TTRS won every single time. Beyond a 100 though and the M would catch up and slowly walk away. I had dynoed my TTRS and at the time it was making 434whp and I believe 454wtq. Also both cars at 6spd. My M3 has a 4.10 diff. Was very very fast. On a side note my buddy just bought a jaguar F type S with the V8. He has a slight advantage down low on the M3 with more torque. Still very even. After that and I'm in 4 gear I start walking away. The F type is extremely fast. And the sound on both the F type and my TTRS with a modded exhaust make my M3 without cats seem very quiet |

APR does some pretty nice work. That car makes 600 hp with their stage 3 kit.
Tempted to install their Stage 3+ kit into my wife's oem+ looking CC for 450 hp... Currently it has APR's S3 Ko4 kit good for 350hp to the wrong wheels... |

I have a 2012 TTRS, they are quick stock, but sooo much better tuned.
Saving up for the APR STG III next fall. In the vid, the TTRS didnt have a slow reaction, he just gave the M3 the hit, and played fisher, reeling him in lol. Most races there looked like crap anyways, wasnt impressed with said "800whp supras" and such, they sure as shit didnt look like it. |

TTRS suffered a drivetrain breakage during the day RS Worx says. Same one that did 10.xx at over 132 mph a few weeks prior Supras were doing well over 140 in the 1/4 mile as well. Not sure what "HP" that takes, but they held their own vs the 700+ GTRs there.. |
