My wife now drives a faster car than me...
Over the last few weeks my wife and I started to realize that our fairly new X3 just wasn't cutting it for us size-wise. We originally bought the X3 because we were adding 1 to our family, but quickly realized that going from a 335i to an X3 wasn't a huge difference in space. With 2 child seats in the back of the X3 there was no room for my visiting MIL to sit.
A week ago we went to go test drive the Tesla Model S P85 and while its a fantastic car with tons of cargo space, I was left a bit underwhelmed. I think all of the hype around the car raised my expectations far beyond reason. So what did we do? We went in the complete opposite direction. My wife loves the X3 and the way BMW's drive so the logical choice was the X5. But I wanted a car that was fast and that I would love driving as well. The X5M seemed to fit the bill. So now my wife drives a faster car than me. I must say I am very impressed with this car. It's a blast to drive (for an SUV/SAV), and its nice to be able to hear a rumbling V8 no matter which car I drive. The only negative is the gas mileage, but neither my wife nor I commute to work so its not really an issue.

I was supercharged. Removed because NA is better (at least for this car).

Hell of a combo you guys got there! Beautiful.
Should we assume you are going to keep that one stock? Or is that very doubtful?

Thanks guys.
I've ordered all the standard "appearance" stuff to get rid of all the chrome. Nothing else planned for now, but I'm sure that will change.

Awesome. The more you drive the more you may want to modify it. The car really doesnt need too much. My friend has an X6M and it is a beast out of the box. I like the idea of just blacking it out and maybe changing wheels.
