Does anyone fit their mountain bike in the E92?

I noticed the back seats fold down, and it seems like there is enough space to shove a bike through with the front wheel removed.

Anyone do it?

I wouldn't cram my bike into my car. It's too big, pointy, and usually dirty. Supposedly the BMW roof crossbars are quite good. I've been considering them for some time.

If a Christmas Tree can fit in the M3, so can a mountain bike.

U guys ever heard of the sea sucker bike rack? I've had it for a few months works really well! And it doesn't stay on and ruin the look of a car with the bike rack

I would never use one. First you are putting suction cups on your paint - high potential for scratching. Second you are relying on suction cups for stability - high potential for failure. Why not use the BMW rack with the fixed mounting points on the roof? Their is no better system and it takes minutes to install / remove.

OP - you can fit a mountain bike in your trunk with the seats folded and front wheel removed.

Awesome! Thanks for the answers dudes! I however have changed my mind to the E90. I read the baby seat thread in this forum and it seems having the extra doors is a must for kiddo duty.

I assume the sedan has a similar amount of space.

And to address the dirt/grease concerns I would just throw a tarp underneath the bike.

I am just not a fan of roof racks. That is why I want to chuck a bike back there.

It will fit just fine. Take the front wheel off and slide the back wheel of the bike in first with the seats down.

Fit my Stumpjumper FSR S-works (Large) in the trunk of my E92 with front wheel off no problems. You should be good to go. If you wanted even more room, just lower the seat at well!
